So I'm thinking of doing some suspension upgrades which include the control arms, sway bar's, watts link and shocks. My question is where can I get a hold of some QA1 adjustable shocks? And are they really worth it?

I have them, I would say no, remember they are for racing, not everyday use. They will not last.

Go with Penske coil over shocks if you want to go aftermarket.

I had the QA-1 front and rear single adjustable shocks for daily driver use and would NEVER do it again!
That said there are some people who actually like them.

I'm running KYB model specific (for the Marauder) shocks front and rear, 1 1/4 coil cut off the front oem springs and the rear suspension adjusted all the way down.
Addco front/rear sway bars, one-off rear control arm set-up and 255/45-18's on all four corners. The car handles like it's on rails and lays flat in any corner. Any harshness in the ride mostly comes from the 45 series sidewalls but that's really only w/potholes and ruts in the road

Do you have any problems with T/C, et al with running the same size tire on all wheels?
I see Tire Rack has some very good tires in that size...sure would make things easy to buy and rotate...

Do you have a link for them? Been searching and finding nothing.

Thanks for the info. Mine is a daily driver but they might be opening a road course in my area. KYB are good shock. You can never go wrong with them

ANZE suspension (http://www.anzesuspension.com/) adapts Penske shocks (coilover fronts) and standard fitment rear for our cars. They are very nice, rebuildable, but expensive.

From what I hear, KYB is the only half-decent cheap alternative.

Mine's an '03 300a so no T/C to have problems with.
There is no problem w/ABS and it does add life to a set of tires being able to rotate them!!
I've heard that there are some members running the same size tire front/rear with T/C and it works fine if they turn the T/C off.

Thanks...I was thinking that turning it off might be an answer if I wanted to go that route.

You will have to alter the tune to correct the speed-o-meter for the different size tire. W/the lower profile tires you are running a "shorter" tire effectively lowering the final drive ratio. Not quite as drastic as putting 410's in the rear but very noticeable!

I have a set of rear control arms in stock and ready to go.

Note to self: Ultimate suspension mod for the SB is the "Krytin Setup".

Let me know when you're ready and I'll send you some pictures of the "details" I had to find out about the hard way - it will save you the trouble of having to do them after the fact!

I'm interested in the drop and rub issues... I'm about to cut some OEM coils I have as spares and I am running 295's in rear... Any thoughts? Any pics with car setup that low?
