While im pressing on the gas an break my tires dont not spin at all.
I have 255/55 R18 on my backs n 235/50 on the front... could my tire size be preventing me from burning out??

This car has limited-slip so it takes a lot more power to break both wheels loose. The MM is not especially good at low RPM torque, so your situation is not unique, nor does it indicate anything is wrong.

BTW, it's "brake".

If you have traction control make sure it's turned off. Step on the brakes while pressing on the gas until the rear tires break loose.

When I start a burnout I throw it in 1st, while holding the brakes with your left foot floor it, you might have to jerk the car a few inches to break the tires loose, Make sure to watch your tach, once you hit 3500-4000 she's gonna start screaming, that's when I let off the brakes and throw it in 2nd, your going to be fish tailing so be careful not to lose control, mines an 03 and I'm not sure about the 04 because of the electronic traction control but I'm assuming turning it off you should be good for a nice black posi strip, good luck and yes tires are expensive

So are transmissions.

Yes they most certainly are, this is why I've only done a couple, when I heard that doing burnouts will burn up the tranny I put a stop to that

Manual shifting our trans is a good way to end up needing a rebuilt trans ;) Put it in D, turn off OD and call it a day

that's why many have gone to 4:10 gears and a stall convertor , rumor has it some even go as far as installing a supercharger or a turbo?
I personally think that's ridiculous! :banned:

I'll trade you some spin for some traction!! :D

Weak. I punished my trans all the way to 95,000 miles before removing and going stick. I wouldn't hesitate to throw it right back in and keep doing 3rd gear burnouts!

Yeah I like a good burn out, don't wanna have to rebuild my tranny but I can do it myself so just buying the parts will save casharonies, tires are expensive as well so a burnout every now and again I think is all good

I used to leave tread every time I took it out! With the manual, I rarely ever want to now. Lol I just want G force pulls in every gear! And perhaps save the $1,600 clutch!!! All my burnouts are with the pedal fully up. Tires are now cheap to me.. Now that I rarely do burn outs, I may get more out them than a year. I still can't get over the stickiness of the Nitto 420's over BFG's. WOW And they don't do that center wear at ALL. It's been a year and a half now with these and they are still between full and 3/4 thread. Unbelievable difference with these.

Wish I had the 6 speed manual setup, how could you not smoke em up everywhere, Im rolling on stock BFG's with the stock tranny, she'll burn them right off the rims if I held it long enough lol

So I should Definitely put the stock tires back on it?

I wouldn't. 255/55 looks good as the rear tire. The stock tires may allow you to do a burnout easily only because the tire compound might be of lesser quality than the 255/55.

I'd rather have better traction than easier spinning of the tires. I've ran 235/50. 245/55, 255/55 and now 265/50 on my rears. If you're doing everything right to do the burnout and it's now doing it then either something is mechanically wrong or you need to add some power.

Also have to remember during hot weather the tire compound will become softer and grip the hot asphalt a lot more than if both were cold.
