:cool:Hey Marauderville....was just curious if anyone had their car and went to the very 1st Marauder meet Sept 19-21,2003 at Fun Ford Ennis(Dallas), Texas. This plaque is in the trunk of my car that I have owned since Mar 2011. I have been intending to do this since I became a member on this site but kept forgetting to take pic. I was at that Fun Ford with my 'Stang or Lightning or both and remember this happening. The Marauders got to do a parade lap down the 1320 and they were lined up on display in parking lot. I remember some having the s/c on them and talking with some of the owners. I may have talked to someone on here that was there and still own their MM but I doubt I talked to anyone on here that was the owner of my car since it was sold new in Irving and has been in Dallas-Ft Worth its entire life and there's really few to no DFW owners posting on here for some reason. So for year 12 Marauderville needs to return to its DFW roots!!:D

I'm older than U, does that mean I'm old and moldy? No way, especially if I can still get in my 'Stang with roll cage and wife's '82 Vette and get my young man mo-jo going. (That's not me in pic, was one of lead techs on restoration)

been down that road with my Lightning, went to 1st & 2nd (Texas Area Lightning Owners North) along w/ NLOC meet in Wichita, Kansas but not long before a lot of members moved on for various reasons. I guess for me I find a car/truck that's special to me and I invest time/money in them and they become part of me so I keep them for long periods of time. Funny how some of the members always say they wish they had kept it after its gone.

Now that's funny, never thought of it like that. Thanks for '82 comment, wife bought it new in '81 and never did anything to it(car is a car attitude) so I had it restored in 2005 because I just couldn't take its sad, sad condition. Plus I wanted a project

I assume Logan was a DFW area member? I'm not positive if I'm 2nd or 3rd owner..but I'm leaning 3rd. Guy I bought it from was younger than me and worked at Bell Helicopters in Hurst, TX (a DFW mid-cities suburb)said only reason selling was to restore a '67 Chevy C-10 pickup.

No this guy was a civilian working in the plant where the helicopters were built.150 miles+ from the Ft Hood/Killeen area which is 99% active Army with a few civilian contractors. I know I was stationed there 3 years '89-'92
