The engine bay of my 04 is currently spotless thanks to Croftgate. But now I'm stuck with this massive, ugly lump of natural aluminum right in the middle. My search results online have yielded only a final outcome of a highly polished finish. Is there anything that works to liven up that aluminum on the covers and upper intake? I was thinking maybe to steam clean it. Anything else? Thanks.

Phosphoric Acid blends do very well but you must coat with something afterwards to prevent re-oxidation!!

The phosphoric acid would explain why some guys use Coca-Cola for certain things.
