Thank you mercurymaruader.net!
When my 1995 SHO started surrendering to the woes of age and mileage, I wasn't sure what to buy. If it weren't for mm.net, I shudder to think of what I might have settled for!
MM.net taught me how misleading Car & Driver's reveiw was, and also how the cars need a few miles to loosen up. I had test driven a 60-mile car in the spring of '03, but it seemed more image than ooomph.
After reading some posts here though I began to see the light. Learning what Dennis could do made the light brighter.
Words of wisdom & help from (among others) BigDogJim, RoyalPita, & Cruztaker... as well as the heads up about the blue car on e-bay from Jettle, Marauderman, et. al made the pursuit & purchase even easier.
Within a week of posting my interest in a blue MM here, I had half a dozen great cars to consider... all courtesy of this community.
I considered a Lincoln LS, but the lack of hi-po parts, particularly for the manual-tranny cars, dampened my enthusiasm. Comparing the owner/driver input from the MM site cinched the decision.
I thank all of you for your help, and commend you on the service you're providing each other. MM.net helps connect buyers & sellers, and everybody gets a better deal.
I never dreamed I'd buy a car because of a web-site, but MM.net won me over... and three days into ownership I couldn't be happier.
Now how do I update that signature hickey?
Greg
