The bottom edge of the rubber armrest is coming loose from the driver door panel. Has anyone succesfully addressed this issue yet?

I'm having the same problem with the passenger side.
Thinking about contact cement as a possible fix.

I had the same problem with both armrests. And there may be a better way to fix this. But this is what I did and it worked perfectly, no more problems.

I took the door panels off and put them down flat, face up. Then I put
clear silicone where the armrests were coming up. After that I put a weight down on each armrest and left them overnight. Next day I had a perfect fix, the armrests looked new again.

If you do this get the silicone down in there all along the problem area and as deep as you can, also to the left and right as far as you can. Be generous with the silicone but not so much that it bulges out all over the place when you weigh down the armrest. If a little does ooze out just wipe it off. This can be done before of after it dries.

Whatever you use to weight it down must be heavy enough to hold the armrest in it's proper place until the silicone dries.

This will work!

I tried contact cement. Did not do ***t.

5 minute epoxy is the answer. Tape off the armrest so you don't get it all over the place. Let it set up until it starts to thicken up. Apply with a popsicle stick or similar tool and hold it in place for the last couple minutes. Done.

Wally-World sells a 2 part plastic epoxy that is very aggressive and fixed mine 2 years ago.....still fine!!

Be sure to mask it off well as the half cure stuff is very hard to remove!!

Automotive (or marine) "goop" brand stuff works really well to hold plastic and even metals together. And there's no mixing like epoxy.

Thanks for all the good ideas - I just noticed the rear armrests and the front passenger starting to do this. Sounds pretty easy to fix!
