Cam covers

I took off my cam covers with about a 3 hour struggle each side to get them off. Took them to get powder coated. Now I got them back I do not have any idea how there going to go back on with out a fight or scratch. Any tips or Ideas??? to make the job any easier thanks..

There is a thread here and it definitely helps to grind the inside out of the passenger side one. I'll see if I could find it

3 hours each side???? :eek:

The drivers side takes about 45 minutes to remove.

Unbolt the passenger side motor mount (the center bolt ONLY!), place a 2x4 under the oil pan, place your hydraulic jack under the 2x4 and gently lift the passenger side of the motor. The passenger side cam cover will almost fall into place.
