I picked up this hood for $50 bucks, its from an 05' mustang. It needs to get cut and fit, I never realized the mustang hoods are about 6" longer than our hoods. The two main reasons I want to try to make this work is clearance and heat extraction for my my future whipple install. The hood is the same design as the 1968 Shelby GT500KRs

Saw it on fb. I like the front but not a fan of the vents at the rear. But that is just me

I am admittedly over-conservative, so when I first saw it I thought it was a little too "perky" for a car this size - but the more I look at it, the more it grows on me.

Kinda looks like the old 60's Mercury Comet hoods with the air openings right up front.

Or the '68 Shelby GT500 hoods....
Actually looks pretty cool with the Marauder's stock grille.

The front inlets need to be back a few inches from the grille and the vents need to be smaller. Vents should be more subtle.

Looks like it'll be efficient:beer:
I'm on the fence, I think it's one of those things that will end up growing on me an I'll like it:beatnik:

This is going to be a winter project, I have way too many things going on at the moment, my blue's rear diff is getting done tomorrow, then I'm ordering and installing new front control arms, spings, and shocks.
Then next week on the black car: tires, alignment, A/C accumulator, and while its there I'm getting it smoke tested again for the evap system.
Plus there is the detrilogizing project, it's like the list never ends.

Nice I like it. If I was going loud (instead of sleeper) that's a good pick. Sexy and functional.
Well integrated it will look stock if you put matching grates in the lower opening between the foglights.
One of the reasons I like the bomber hood is it cools the back of the engine. I'd say leave the gap at the back of the hood then you have cool intake and firewall.

If I decide to sell it, it's going to be everything except the alternator extension harness, battery cable extension, and the fuel pump. I might ever go as far as sourcing new hoses and IC pump.... I haven't nailed down a price yet.

Like my hood!! see pictures in my garage, not sure if pictures are showing.
Mine is all steel hood to look like the GT500KR, but fit to the MM body lines.
