After reading about the wimpy wuss LR owners talking about their broken
pathetic vehicles and how they have to watch out for rocks, I just had to post...
You pathetic little wanna be wuss!
Real off-road vehicles have transfer cases, not CV joints!
My bud's truck could drag a couple of LR's around on a chain!
GET A FORD!

Hey Big Dog
I was just holding up our end with those silly LR owners.

Please do your research before posting ignorant crap like this....
Ford Pickups are designed to Pull, Haul, and Carry Cargo on Roads...and it is my opinion that they do the Best job of it of all the choices...they will take you up a muddy road to your cabin....or up a snowy hill towing your snowmobiles....or down the beach to go surfcasting....
take them truly offroad and you better call your bodyshop first and make an appointment..and leave the tow truck on retainer....approach angles...weight distribution...gearing...artic ulation...throttle sensitivity..even the spare tire location .etc..etc..etc....are not there...and in some cases cannot be added
HAVING SAID THAT...Land Rovers are a high maintence nightmare....BUT...if you get out the wire snips and cut off all the Crap that has been put on them since the production run on this basically identical chassis began (as the range rover) in 1970!! you will find an extremely capable vehicle....All the fancy crap that made them some sort of status symbol breaks..and that is what makes the whiners whine....the drivetrain is old school and stifled (still running the 1960s buick motor) and will carbon up (hanging valves) if not Reaaly rung out on a regular basis....(and all land rovers except the freelander (which is a Car) have a transfer case...don't know who you are talking too?...and the CVs are in the front end??..they provide a smoother transition of power than U joints and last longer under harsh conditions...
there is a reason that discoverys/defenders are used in military applications the world around and it is not because military operators enjoy being broken down or stuck....in their world that becomes an issue they wish to avoid
