I am not sure where to have it cut and how much to cut. You happen to know or maybe have pic of one modded? How do you like the cot delete you are running? I might go that route.

From the first post in the Eaton Swap Parts List Thread:
"You will need to cut and weld to make a coolant crossover tube from the original in this manner;
Shorten the factory crossover about an inch in height and length. Weld up the end that attaches to the thermostat, removed and rewelded the mounting tabs to the botom of the crossover so they bolt to the heads, move the the other coolant hose nipple(the barb on the passenger side of the crossover tube) so it doesnt hit the belt tensioner.Make a tee from a couple of metal hosebarbs from the hardware store. The tee conects the upper radiator hose to the thermostat. Also either eliminate or plug the hose fitting that goes to the PCV valve fitting on the intake manifold."
It's good to have some way to mock-up the final pieces for alignment and to pressure test them or you will likely have leaks.

I believe we took off an inch in height and brought the tube in closer to the motor an inch.
Justbob and I marked where we needed the cuts, I took it to a local speed shop who cut it nice and straight for us. We tack welded it and then I had the final welding done at the local speed shop.
DON'T FORGET TO PRESSURE TEST IT. MINE HAD A PIN HOLE LEAK IN IT WHEN I INSTALLED IT.
You can buy the rubber compression plugs at a auto parts store and make a hose connection to fill the tube with air or water.

I'm not too confident about where the cuts should be and I would hate to have it cut and welded only to find out it was wrong. I may just put it up forsale and go with a x over delete kit. I was hoping I could convince Zack to do it but he said "not a chance." Thanks for the replies.

Any chance you can get the measurements for the cuts from Zack?

Subscribing. What's this COT delete kit you speak of? Where can this be purchased?

Zack says way to much time and money to make it worth the effort.
I thought you bought a complete kit. Wouldn't his involve Dom swapping you cot's???

Not needed for a centri swap.
The COT has to be lowered and shortened to clear the blower snout on an Eaton.

I got it all except the COT. Dom doesn't think I need it. Others think I do. I will find out next week for sure. Hoping this doesn't end up being a hold up for me.

so the difference between the cot's on a Marauder and the '03-'04 Cobra is the Marauder have to be cut and the Cobra is direct fit, I see several for sale at different prices so I don't want to buy what I already have. Any other differences or need to know info?

I think a few model year Cobras in the 90's had two temp sensor bungs on their COT.

Are the Cobra COTs the same configuration as the one on the Marauder? for some reason I'm thinking the design is different.

I would just modify your Marauder tube.
That's what I did as many others have too.

I just saw one or two Cobra COTs with the two sensor bungs on eBay recently. But it looks like it would still have to be lowered and shortened along with a different hose routing. But it could be a viable option if a Marauder owners COT is all rusty and crusty.
