Just bought a 2003 Marauder with 11K miles. It has been sitting in a garage. Looks new, drives new, but the tachometer sticks about 5% of the time. Do I live with it and hope by driving it more it just gets better, or is there some easy way to get in there and oil it? Thanks in advance...

Pull the instrument cluster out, remove the tachometer and bend the contacts the tachometer plugs into. That might fix it.

Mine did the same thing, I lived with it by tapping the cluster till the tach registered. Then it worked the rest of the day. The final solution and it was a permanent fix........................... .............................. ...... Sold the car. LOL!

Gently pry the needle straight up. Some are pressed onto the shaft just a hair too much and bind a bit. Worked on mine anyway.

Mine was the female pins that the tac pushes into, I had to bend them in a little, the connection was loose.

2003 11k?
Not worth fixing. Ship it to me and I'll properly dispose of it. :D
Just drive it:burnout:
It needs a workout

I did all the above fixes on mine, no joy. I fixed it by changing gauge cluster.
