I stared at this car knowing something was wrong, then it hit me, friggin front bumper! It's about 2 hours from me, so before I possbily head down after a phone call, what's a good offer, if it's even a good buy?
Did a little research, found 6 previous owners (seems a little high to me)
Maybe somebody here had it, or knows who did, *:hmmm:crosss fingers

Car looks fine other than front bumper. With multiple owner I take it to another shop & get number on compression & leak down test.

The tires don't look right, since this is a 300a they could get away with nonstaggered tires, the rears look too small.

I dont think its worth the asking price with that GM bumper slapped on the front! it decreases the value of the car, thats one of the signature parts of the car. i say around $7,500

Front bumper side marker light and tires are wrong. Check for good old north rust. 75 would be fair after you put 1500 in it

That car was on e-bay a couple weeks ago I noticed the GM front facsia and figured it had been in accident or a former owner took it off and sold/gave it to a GM/CV owner for a fake wanna be Marauder

Is it just me or do the tail lights look wrong, as in not tinted? Or did the 300a's not have tint??

Damnit! I had to stare at this car for over an hour each night for the pay 3 nights and still find and hear more things I don't like! Tried calling them back a couple times, no answer. Maybe it's a sign 0_o

:concur: I wouldn't be surprised is this car had a salvage/rebuild title history. Asking price with all of its "issues" is ---->:eek::shake:

OK - Here's what I saw.
The good:
76+K miles.
Built 10/02
Full spare - Not original tire.
I'm told that it has a clean title.
300A - Front/Rear seats look good
Rear seat was unhooked for some reason
Dash is good (no scuffs/dings)
Steering Wheel is good
No dents, other than the below, clean body.
CD Player
GT Coil Covers
K&N CAI
Starts without any valvetrain noise or smoke.
Parking Brake Releases when put into drive
Remote Gas Cap opens
Pedals Move
Severe Service Rear Shocks
Information etched into the rear driver side, lower, window with NICB Traceable information (PM if interested)_
The Bad:
No mats (I forgot to ask)
Plastic, non MM front bumper (knew that)
Possible front end damage (hood seams don't look right and bumper issue....)
Looks like the roof has possibly been painted (tape line seen under windshield gasket)
Auction Car - Still has adhesive on front/rear windows from stickers
Scuffed (PS high on the corner/side)/Spray Painted Rear bumper but no cracks/punctures.
Information found in glovebox:
Insurance Statements from 2007 to 2011 for a Bloomfield, NJ owner (I have the name)
Balt/Wash Auto Outlet Sale Receipt in Glove Box with $2500 price from 4/2/12 (unknown if sale price) ......
In the trunk, there were receipts for rear seals and bearings.
After driving:
"Stock" Voltmeter was showing 12V
There's a whine coming from the rear.
"Generic" Tune or someone else's (Other than Lidio - What I'm used to) tune - Still "hunting" at WOT but (IMHO) better than stock.
A decent 300A and I think would clean up nicely but "Ridden Hard"....

I noticed the voltmeter was reading 12-13v in the ad pic of it. It probably has a low charge alternator. When I bought mine it never went past 13 even though it's a dummy gauge sort of, but took it back to the dealer for them to test it and it was showing 12.5-12.7 at idle so they replaced the alternator. Stock voltage at idle should be 13.6-13.8. Did you have a chance to look at the tire sizes?

This car has obviously been whored around....that being said, multiple owners doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things. My car has "5" owners (technically 3), and its like a brand new car.

I know I'm comparing apples to peanuts, however , you don't need to be super preceptive to see the car is a pile..

You know what? He probably did pick that up for 2500-3000.
