Wide tires

So what's the widest tires I can mount on a stock rim? TIA

I think one member here runs a 305, in the rear, I run 295 x 45's, if you look at tire racks spec sheet, each manufacturer will give the recommended rim size.

Looking for trouble if your running 305 or 295 on a stock width rim.

255's to be safe-- before widening the rim-

some have gone wider but am sure they don't do sporty turns at high speeds though....
