Well with the extra power on tap from last year I took the car to the track, after pounding it quite a bit on the street and I guess those roll on's from 3-2 down shifts took there toll on the trans....lol
went to the track and the first pass the car left strong good 1-2 shift and 2-3 shift, once in thrid the car started to lay over and kept laying over, to the end, funny no knocking, temp was right on till the top track when i lifted, green coolant every where......, looks like the aftercooler pump went titis up........explains the lay over all the way down after shifting into thrid gear.....SCT data logger showed the IAT temps wher 240 ish at the top........program just kept pulling timing as the IAT go over 150.....
let the car cool down and took the blower belt off to drive her home, even though I know i could have left the belt on as in vaccum the by-pass would have not really let the IAT go crazy under cruise, but never the less I pulled the belt.....two things I noticed, one the car got better gas mileage? and two the car ran flawless couldn't really tell that blower wasn't on....just cruising....anyways the trans after that was slipping into second gear real bad at light throttle, but into thrid gear was ok.

After getting home replaced the intercooler pump and topping off the cooling system for the heat exchanger, I noticed the trans if shifted manually from 1-2 and 2-3 would shift frim and fine?, relized that when doing this the line pressure is increased double from when leaving it in the D position......

ran good enough to drive to lid's for his trans guy to build it, went with a 1 piece shaft and level 5 shift kit as well as bigger servo and accumulator and the newer ulto blue cutches(second gear was toast!!), freshen up the rest of the clutches as well as over drive band.

Oh by the way the car on the only pass went 11.86@ 118, But I was really happy to see the 1/8 mile times, hows 7.21@ 101 mph with a 1.74 60 foot....... tells me that on that pass the car would have went anywhere from 11.1-11.2 cant wait to go back.

Surprised your 60' isn't lower, are you having traction issues?

Good Luck with the repairs.

No traction issues, just left soft as I didnt know how the track was and being my first pass of the day, also running the stock wheels set up with nitto's on the rear(widened rear rims) that pass.......
