I've been checking around for tires and debating weather or not to waste my money on another set of BFG's that will only last me 15,000 miles. I love the original tires, but the treadware is absolutley horrifying! I'm also going to be using 4 matching tires and I stumbled upon these Michelin 235/55/VR18 tires on TireRack.com and wanted some opinions. Anybody ever used these tires on anything? Will there be a dramatic difference in handling? Here's a link:

I decided to go with Bridgestone S-03 Pole Position 235/50/18 on all four corners. I wanted better handling and performance and was willing to sacifice treadwear (which is already crap on our BFG's). I didn't need the all-season rating, since I have a set of Michelin Snow tires.
Keep in mind, that if you have a 300B, you may have some problems with the T/C by going to a different tire size and your speedo reading will be off, by going to 235/55/18 on all four corners.
I have not used those tires, but it looks like a good price and tire.
Good luck,

P.S.: You want may to look at 235/55/18, that gives you a few more options.

Those look good Stephen...man, did you click on the "Super View" of that tire? They've got War and Peace written on the side of that Michelin

You will be going down in tire performance. The MXV is a grand touring tire. Not a performance tire. They are OEM equipment on many Mercedes Benz and Honda Accords.
I tossed these new tires after 4,ooo miles. Provided a very splashy/vague sensation when driving even after a 4 wheel alignment on a new 03 Accord. They also needed to be run at high PSI for any decent performance. Comfortable riding tire though.

I agree with spotbearsd, you will most likely see a decrease in performance. However, I would expect that they have decent tread life and better all weather traction.
We have MXV4s on our Mark VIII and they felt decent when new, but now with 20K miles on them they have lost their edge. We also have them on a Mercedes E500, but that car still has very little mileage. But even when new, these tires do not offer the same level of grip as a more performance orientated tire.
