View Full Version : PCV Valve leaking & elbow tube is split

The first pic is of the tube connecting the PCV Valve to the cover. It has a rip in it ... Air is coming out.

The second pic is the PCV Valve itself ... Obviously you can see the leakage.

My ? Is what should I expect when I take this to my mechanic.

That's just a boot. The PCV valve is on the other end in the cam cover. Replace boot and drive it.

its only vacuum, so a piece of hose, or even black tape would fix it

Reinforced fuel line. Search " whiteys oil catch can" on google, find my thread and the size hose i used(i forget) and never worry about it again.

Thx guys ... I replaced the hose ... Cleaned my intake and throttle body while I was at it.
