I am slowly putting together the front bumper I purchased a month or so ago. I bought the brackets and finally found the 1 missing fog light pigtail I needed. So, what is the orientation of the foglight in the bracket? Does the adjuster face up (say "north") or some other direction?
Second, what is the preferred screw to use to fasten the fog light to the bracket?
Third, I was told to use a drywall type screw that is about 1/2" or 5/8" long to fasten the bracket to the bumper. Would I use these same type screws to attach the foglight to the bracket?

The adjustment screw is down towards the ground.
Use the drywall screws in all the holes.

Thanks! The bracket also has a little arm that sticks out. It looks like it should connect to the bumper bottom corner? If so, how does that fasten to the bumper cover?

Interesting....:hmmm:
FYI, Fog lights attached to brackets with #8 x 5/8" Metal Pan Head Screws from Lowes. Similiar to DW screws, but I couldn't find anything shorter than 1". They fit perfect and screwed in and snugged up perfectly.

Yes it does connect to the bumper bottom corner. You can use a plastic bumper push pin clip, not sure what size but you can get them at your local auto parts store.

The bracket does attach to the bumper with push/blind rivets.
Mine fell out many times until I bought the proper rivets.

My foglight brackets have no holes in that bracket/arm to attach it to anything. There isn't a hole in the bumper cover either.

I've done several fog light installs and most had no bumper push pins there or the bracket arm is not there/broken off. Without the bracket arm secured the fog light itself and main bracket can flop up and down when hitting bumps.
Under the bumper, this is the bumper push pin to connect to the fog light bracket arm.

This is an inside, yellow ^^^^ marks are pointing to the bracket which you can see the push pin coming through the bracket arm.

Like I said... I have no holes in bumper and no holes in brackets.
The brackets are secured to the bumper cover with 4 screws IIRC. How would the foglight flop around?

Maybe your MM is just weird. lol
The foglight is secured to the bracket by 4 screws, the bracket is secured to the bumper cover by either 2 or 4 screws. I want to say it's 2 screws on the top side. I'll look tomorrow when I do an HID install for another member.
When I say flop around, I mean the bracket and foglight assy together as the bottom bracket arm secures it to the bumper and that keeps it moving.

Yeah. There is 2 screws to mount the bracket assembly to the bumper cover. Then, there is the little arm that point down toward the bottom of the bumper cover. There should be a small hole to connect the cover to the arm of the bracket. I will try to post up some pics tonight if you want.

Yes, that bracket does get secured to the bumper cover at the bottom, both my Black and my parts car have the bracket and the push pins in them. The 4 MM's I have had here over the last couple of weeks all had that as well. We have replaced several bulbs in the fog lights while they were here...I notice things like this while I am working on them.

The bracket attaches to the bumper at the top with 2 screws, then the arm attaches to the bumper bottom with the expanding plastic pushpin. Then the fog light attaches to the bracket with 4 screws. I've had the thing apart numerous times. If the bracket arm breaks or isn't attached, you can push on the bottom of the fog light and it moves around. Not good.
