So , I had a leak at the rear of the driveshaft and took it in and got a diagnosis of a leaking pinion seal.
Cool, say fix and top it up , but am told there might be a problem with a vent being clogged , causing pressure and could blow the seal again.
They suggest and , of course find the vent plugged, new fluid , which is OK ,
Question, ?
How many of you have had that seal go and what about the vent ?
Just curious

Never knew about the vent. I've had mine replaced before and it's weeping again.

Thats correct, if the rubber vent tube is plugged the pressure will find its own exit.

Top drivers side of the axle, looks like a question mark!

LOL I must be really tired, I was so thinking about something on the tailshaft housing.
I had to zip tie my vent tube over some because of the larger over axle piping so it wouldn't burn on the exhaust.
