Hello all!

You'd think being a car guy...
loving these cars since their official introduction my senior year...
working in the car biz for 12 years and counting...
owning close to 50 cars in 13 years...

...that I would have one by now. Nope. However, I am going to extend out to my newly acquired forum family for one. Nationwide dealer auction searches I have access to daily as well as craigslist checks and auto trader checks yields nothing that works for my needs. I'm stomped BAD in my 04 Grand Marq, so if its at a dealer I need to absorb that neggy equity. Now private party, however, I maybe can work out a bit better because I can buy it through my work, and finance it through my store as if it was a regular purchase car.

Long story short; here's my "wish list" if you will. I'm in Vancouver, WA...but can travel within 500 or so miles, and beyond that I gotta start calling my transport companies for quotes. So here we go!

Preferably under 100k miles
Prefer black, but all colors are loved equally in my book
Prefer a 300A simply for the extra sunglasses storage!
Prefer spoiler
Prefer 20% or no tint
Trunk organizer big bonus

No rust will be accepted nor will awful resprays.

The more stock the better for me...I don't wanna go all mod crazy...just want a car that when I was 17 years old was "perfect" to me.

Could pay as much as 13-14k for the right car and the credit union's approval since I have high taxes here and license is another few hundred, but expecting something closer to under 10k range. For it to make sense to my boss at work, if I purchase it private party and to absorb the negative equity in my 04, I need to be about 3k back of WHOLESALE book...I owe 9k on my car...I'm ashamed of myself...I know. But if its under 10k; maybe I'll find a way to do a 2nd car payment...

BTW there's a big difference between 20% tint and no tint. Do you want dark windows or non-dark windows?

I have 20% on the MGM and have had it on a couple cars. Its perfect for my needs. I just don't want the *cough cough* legal 35% which is useless...or limo tint which is great for say...limos? :) So I'd like it at my preference or stock so I can do it my way.

One will probably come to you when you're not even looking as mine did this past January, and for me it turned out be literally a couple miles from home. Hopefully you can be that lucky.

Seriously, if you don't have a moon roof you can install a long overhead console from an '03.

Personally I prefer a moon roof over sun glass storage any day!

uh, my 300b has no moonroof and has the long overhead with sunglasses holder.

I prefer the 300b to the 300a, for the 300a I would like the full-size spare, dash clock, and button-release fuel door, but the auto-release parking brake would drive me nuts and the increase chance of axle/paint issues also reduces value to me, for the 300b I love that I have adjustable pedals and traction control, and the bonus of increased chance of factory/dealer installed spoiler. Just my opinion, and I'd much rather have a 04 to and 03a or 03b.

I keep going back and forth about selling mine, especially when I consider the $$ I've spent on it in the past year (new axels, new windshield wiper motor and control stalk, and my latest massive expense...a/c work done at Ford: blend door, box & actuator). Also, I'm all the way on the other side of this great country from you.
It's got about 75k miles, 10k miles on new long block, black/black and I'm asking $10,900. See my sig for mods.

Not sure if you found one yet, but my car is still in the for sale section with current pics, it is just about everything you are looking for. If you are interested feel free to PM me....car is in SF Bay Area, but I bought it and brought it here from WA last year..it's a $150 flight and 12 hour drive..easily doable in one day..that's what I did.

Even the slowest DTR is faster than my stock 04 Grand Marquis...lol. And with the mods my new DTR has, it feels like a rocketship to me!
