Cam cover question

Do the spark plugs sit in wells of the cam cover?
If so are there rubber seals around the wells?
Just curious as I had a '99 SHO that had those seals which became brittle and started leaking oil into the wells.

yes there are the rubber seals/o-rings that you speak of. I had a defective one on the pass side, and it sucked... a lot.

There are seals between the cam cover and the plug holes in the head. You have to remove the cam cover to see them.
