I guess any publicity is good publicity. Unfortunately most readers are asking, "what is a Marauder?"

Hee hee - A Malibu is a "Large Sedan" :)

Calling the Malibu a "large sedan" and placing it in the same class as the MM is just plain sick... :puke:

They use hybrids to further boast the "bad mileage" of the smaller cars...and even use the Insight twice! Talk about apples to oranges.

It's still the best fuel mileage vehicle that I've ever bought!

Hey...we did get better fuel economy than the GTO and we have got to weigh 1000 lbs more. :baaa: :banana2:

I think that's the eccentric character who wanders up and down the beach

It's that truck lookin thing, a cross between a truck and a Saturn Ion or Reo whatever they call it.

It kinda looks like a wagon to me. I'll see if I can find a link...

Oops, I ended up liking the Maxx:o

At least it was less than a Porsche...and hey...$62 more annually than an STI!

Oh, yeah...doesn't that money help out the economy a little too? Shoot, we should all buy some SUVs!

I rented a Malibu once when on business back in my old stomping grounds of So.Cal., and I really quite liked it. It was just the little four-banger, but it was brand new. Had like 50 miles on the clock. It was a nice little car. I'm not a small car guy, but it was nice. If I needed a commuter car or something smaller for some reason I'd definitely consider one.

Just think of it, when they are filling up at the gas pump, we'll still be on the road.

There is no comparison between the Marauder and the malibu. That survey sucks.

My GSA Lease vehicle is an 01 Malibu V6. :depress:
Talk about a POS! The brakes suck, and it is one of the ugliest cars Chevy has ever produced:puke:
Mine has the lowest milage in the fleet. I won't drive it unless I am forced to. :mad2:

Funny thing is.. according to the survey, there is less than 400 dollars difference in anual fuel costs.

Thanks for the link, Fourth! I have never seen a mileage comparison that attempted to compare "greenhouse gases". Looks like the Kyoto believers are winning at CNN.

I say to heck with them! Putting performance cars on a mileage list? What a bunch of maroons. They only do this to apply 'enviro-guilt pressure' on those of us who choose to spend our money on cars and gasoline. The fact that the US and Canada have cleaned up their air and water better than anyone else in the world and have higher standards for both doesn't matter to these $^?´ç?**$@ (weenies).

They'll have to pry the keys to my Marauder (or any other car I choose to buy) out of my cold, dead hands ;)

(end rant) (breathe)

It appears that chevy took out the spare tire and the beer to get that mileage. :uzi:

Keeping company with a Phaeton, Porsche Turbo or Audi doesn't bother me at all...don't know about the Sedona...I also agree the Chevy V6 class comparison is a joke!

since when is a toyota celica in the same class as a Porsche Turbo 4 911? what the heck is the driving world coming to?

that sounds as dumb as the malibu maxx vs the marauder!

that is like comparing hemerrhoids vs cheesecake... which would you prefer?

Chevys now come with beer in the trunk?? How low will these folks stoop to entice the driving public with cheap gimmicks?

It's printing studies like that give the media a bad rap for being underinformed "press release" lap dogs that print whatever anyone is kind enough to send us. (I hate being tarred with the same brush as these jerks.)

Why would you even include a "high-performance" engine in a survey like this ... it wasn't made to delivery "economy" fuel mileage? Far better to use the Grand Marquis or something else.
