After driving the car on 2 semi long distances i made the decision to change my front suspension before even thinking of adding performance upgrades, it needs an alignment already but before doing so i wanted to change ball joints and tie rods. After reading so many threads on the subject i decided to go with moog; upper control arms, lower ball joints, inner and outer tie rods and monroe severe service front shocks, my question to everyone is i received a quote from my buddy that works at advanced autoparts, retail for all of the above is $735 and after his discount i"m looking at $518..oh and an additional $12 each for sway bar links. Should i get the parts from him and have them the next day or spend countless hours trying to get a cheaper price digging through numerous threads?worth the time?i drive short distances to work so time wouldn't be a problem i just hate having to compare prices, seems like a good price to me even though this is my first marauder. My brother and I will be doing all the work then an alignment shop right after, anything else i should take into consideration before moving on with my purchase?
Thanks and sorry for the long post

Don't forget the lower control arm bushings, sway bar pivots, steering rack boots, and SPC products camber adjustment bolt. I prefer the sealed Ford parts to Moog.
You might consider the ADDCO tubular #2272 sway bar and new wheel bearings as well.
Do it all, do it once.

+1 I did the same thing and got all Moog from Rock Auto (good price) for front suspension including endlinks. I used ENS Poly bushings for both front and rear sway bars. I did rear shocks too at the time.
Wow what a difference when it was all done.

Thanks for the input guys, well I lifted the car and checked it all out and for now ill be changing the top control arms, lower ball joints and the shocks. Everything else still looks good, if I didn't have 4 cars to feed then I'd go through it all but this should hold me for a good while. I will also be going through the brakes for any worn parts.
