So I've been able to answer most of my questions searching the forum, but had a question on my specific situation.

Right now I have completely stock exhaust. I'm planning on replacing front cats, deleting rear cats, replacing mufflers and getting the 4" Megs res delete tips. For the front cats I'm thinking magnaflow 55956 and for mufflers magnaflow 14356, I know these are both 2.5"

My question is should I just get 2.25" cats and stuff or should I replace the other pipe so it's 2.5" all the way. Also, NOT including the price for new cats/mufflers/tips what should I expect to pay at the shop for them to just replace this stuff and put 2.5" pipe all the way? I'm probably going to bring everything in except maybe the pipe and then have them do if so just trying to get an idea for a fair price as I obviously don't know. This would more or less be price of labor plus maybe 2.5" pipe if its worth it.

Any help is appreciated, also if anyone disagrees with what I'm doing please let me know why

Also I'm aware of the SW and other exhaust systems but they're out of my price range.

Make all the pipe 2.5", get all pipes mandrel bent stainless steel.

I had mine done and spent almost 1.5k.

Mustang shorty headers
Custom down pipes
2 high flow cats
Custom X pipe
Polished stainless steel Magnaflows
Custom over the axle pipes
Stock tips extended past the bumper

Well what I'm getting so far should be around 600 for parts, thinking labor would be 150 max, but that's close to my budget ceiling already. How much do you think just the part of replacing all with 2.5" regular nonfancy pipe would be??

Look into a Cobra 2.5 Mid pipes..

I think $150 is a little low for labor..it may different inTX, but around here about $85.00 per hour for standard exhaust work. Exhaust work can be alot of effort and 2 hours doesnt seem like enough time to remove the system and install a new one.

Took 6 - 8 hrs to fab and weld my system.

Yeah I was basing that price on many people saying it cost 30 or 40 bucks to delete rear cats or trade out front cats, so I figured doing all four would be around 150 I guess but I know little to nothing about it.

Perhaps I should rephrase, how much should labor cost (or how many hrs) to replace front cats, delete rears, replace mufflers and replace tips?
How much more would it cost to replace all other piping with 2.5"?
Again just looking for a general estimate, if anyone's got one

I'm not positive as I have not had exhaust work done other than put resonator delete tips on and that was $85.00..Full exhaust from header back i'm guessing and easy $500-600 and that is without fab work or materials/parts.. I think just putting SW headers on is a $400 -500 job if taken somewhere to do it. maye someone after Marauderville will post up who has had exhaust work done.

All depends on where you go. Shop around, look into pricing AND reputability. When I had my exhaust done, I paid $250, that was for a rear cat delete, installing the Meg's 4" tips, and replacing the mufflers with Flowmaster 40's. I supplied the tips, and the $250 included buying their mufflers. This shop does great work, and is affordable. The shop across town wanted $400+ for the same job.

Good to know RubberCty, I'm not doing the headers though, just most everything after that.

I see you're in Texas, happen to know anyone in the Austin area? Based on what I've found looking around though it seems like your cost would be about what I'm figuring, esp considering that it included two mufflers.
