This question isn't new but thought I'd see if there are any updates. I need a new high output alternator for the aftermarket sound system I'm putting in on my 04. For those of you who have one, what brand would you recommend? I'm looking for ~250amps. I've seen some positive comments on DB electrical but it doesn't look like they carry 250 anymore. I could go lower though, just shooting for 250. Thanks!

Looks good you haven't had any problems? Fits right in place of old alternator? Also which mounting style would it be?? Haven't looked at OEM that closely. The chrome sounds nice though :coolman:

I just (9-18 @ 9:25am lol) bought this one: http://www.dbelectrical.com/p-9807-alternator-high-output-160-amp-46l-marauder-2003-2004.aspx Mine didn't fail but after 10 years and 100,000 miles I figured it was time.

But for big stereo's etc this would work: http://www.dbelectrical.com/p-9809-alternator-high-output-220-amp-46l-marauder-2003-2004.aspx

Get their charge fused cable kit - a must for over 200amps
