How's it going? I'm new to the site, and a new Marauder owner. (2nd Owner 5 days) I just purchased a 2004 Silver Birch w/moonroof, 6CD Changer, Heated Seats n 70,801 miles. I was surprised to get the original window sticker with it. The owners manual, Keypad code on a card, Bill of sale, and the original working radio in the trunk. (Kenwood in dash now)
Now, the sh_t that's missing!
No spare! The cover for it was there, and the jack n wrench in its matching pouch, but no spare!
No Floor Mats! Looks like I'm gonna have to pay a pretty penny for these!
No Cargo Net! And the plastic screws to hold it!
No Keyless Remote! Already ordered one from Ford.
And I have to change the thermostat. But that's no big deal.
So here's the 1st question. How do I find the build #? (I already know that I'm going to be asking a lot more questions in the not so distant future, so we'll just start with one.)
Thanks for reading.

Welcome fellow Land of Lincoln dweller.
Sounds like you have a nice ride.
As for the number of your. I don't know as I never cared to know my cars number.
Where at are you from? We usually have some MM gatherings here in the Windy city area.
Any pics?

Call the Ford Performance Group (FPG) >>>>>> http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=57772
For info or to order, call the Ford Performance Info Center at 800-FORD-788
They will probably give you the number over the phone. However, you'll have to pay to get the certificate and other stuff.
Or, you can also go to the Ford Show Parts site and get the certificate for $45.00 >>>> http://www.fordshowparts.com/store_contents.cfm?cart_id=093 230678701111141008310440677201 31809&store_id=1&dept_id=1137&product_id=6959
You'll need to have your VIN handy.

welcome, i believe a member here "roylpita" can get you your build number, send him a pm(private message, incase your new at this stuff), and he'll need your vin number, and a hundred bucks cash(roylpita: if you actually get that $100, i want half as a finders fee :) ) mine doesnt have a cargo net, however it did have a trunk organizer, which i sold. the spare that came with your car was a donut, i have a full size spare, i reccomend getting a full size spare, whether it be the unpolished stock spare, or a polished wheel. good luck with floor mats, imho, get nice floormats to protect the carpet, and if you come upon a deal on the floor mats, grab 'em. also, i was j/k about the $100. its a great car, and an even greater community to be part of.

I'm from Elmhurst! The only pics I have so far, are on my phone. I'd go out n do it now, but it's dark n it's raining. I'll have some up soon. I'd dig going to some gatherings. I did it a few times with TCCA (Taurus Car Club of America) I own a 98 SHO replica too, (I just got hit in the back from a semi 2 weeks ago. It's fixable)

Sweet man. Elmhurst is not far from North Aurora and some of our other members houses. I'm in North Aurora, but my work is in Carol Stream. Keep you calendar open for The Louisville meet in April! 3-4 days of LOTS of fun and laughs. Along with 30-40 other owners from everywhere.
Hopefully we all can get together soon. Like very soon. I'm dreading not being at Marauderville this week:(

Welcome to the site!
Not all Marauders came with the cargo net. That might have been a dealer installed option.
You should go back to whomever you got the car from and demand a spare tire & wheel. I would have never bought it without one.

Are you sure it's a Marauder? There are clones out there.

It's a real Marauder, and I'm a real boy!:D The Window sticker has the same VIN#, as the car an title. So I'm sure it's not a clone.
I'll take pics tomorrow if the weather permits.

Not having a spare wasn't a deal breaker for me.

It's EPICLY awesome.
Distillery tours, museum tours, police escorts, raffle, late night drinking, much laughter, late night drinking, much laughter, cool cars and the best of all. Many people I consider real friends. Peeps I talk to everyday. And just not only on the website.

I like your 98, but we all know the real SHO ended production in 95! I owned a 94 MTX with a 3.2 and some other goodies.
I think I have a cargo net for be marauder in the garage, if I can find it, it's yours. I'll just need an address to send it to.

Sweet. I wanted to buy White Sox plates. But I'll just stick with my 2005 World Series Champions plate surround. I can't believe it's still only car.
My neighbor a few house down from me just recently got rid of that style SHO. But theirs was really beat up. I think they even had it towed away.

Welcome to the site bro! If you like your Taurus, I think you're gonna love your MM. Best of luck with your new ride! Sounds like you got a nice 1. Dark or light interior?
No Floor Mats! Looks like I'm gonna have to pay a pretty penny for these!
You got that right! Real Marauder mats are like gold on this site. I agree with whitey...get something decent for your floor now and keep your eyes open for a real set. They pop-up from time-to-time but you gotta be quick around here

Sorry it's taken me a lil while to post anything. Internet was down the next day after I started this post, and then I wanted to take some pics with my White Sox plates on. Well, I haven't switched the plates yet. I'm waiting to find out what's going on with this other guys insurance. His adjuster came out and looked at the Taurus, but I haven't found out anything yet. If they total it, then I see no point in transferring the plates from one to the other.
Here's a few pics of my Marauder, and a couple of the damage to the Taurus. A friend of mine is gonna buff it a lil bit later, to get some small scratches out.
