So I have FRPP cobra shorty headers with an X pipe and magnaflows out to 4 inch tips. I have been catching myself looking at new mufflers lately. I want louder but not Aeros loud. I have always said Magnaflows were great but I wonder what it would be like to be louder. Any ideas? Not looking to spend alot of money for new mufflers. Was looking at Pypes M-80's can get two for under $100. I dunno....

My magnaflows have gotten louder after 3-4000 miles.

Besides 4 inch tips, I have a totally stock exhaust. I like the sound when you first start the car, the sound mellows as the exhaust warms up. Are the Magnaflows like that? I am looking for a little more exhaust sound but not too overwhelming.. Any recommendations with part numbers? Thanks!

A whole exhaust system will be nice, or you can check out our mufflers....

Breaking it down:
TURBO CHAMBERED » LOUD
The chambered turbo design of this muffler offers a deep civilized muscle car rumble at idle and cruising speeds, but they really come to life when you jump on the throttle. These mufflers are great for a daily driver but are aggressive enough for your weekend racer for maximum flow and a very aggressive sound.

CHAMBERED ROUND » LOUDER
Also known as the "Retro Chambered," this muffler's exclusive louvered core creates a sweet "Street Rod" deep tone that is not overly aggressive. Mufflers are sized so that they can be reversed for an even more aggressive sound. Can be welded or clamped into place. The best tube style mufflers available! Custom lengths available: we can produce these up to 60" long!

TURBO S-TUBE » LOUDEST
The straight through turbo design of this muffler offers maximum flow with a deep muscle car rumble at idle and cruising speeds and a very aggressive tone when you jump on the throttle. These mufflers could be used for a daily driver but may be considered too aggressive by some. For a more civilized daily driver muffler, it's best to stick with the Chambered Turbo above.

The guy who did my exhaust recommends Jones FullBoar mufflers, almost identical to Magnaflow mufflers but flow about 100+ CFM more than Magnaflow.

Anything with fiberglass packing will get louder over time as the packing settles into position from the heat.

I LOVE the Magnaflows on mine. They are just enough that when I've got the cruise on you can hardly hear them in the car. Just enough to put the baby to sleep. Jump on the throttle and they come to life. I couldn't be happier with how my MM sounds.

I have 2 cats deleted, ressy delete tips, and 14" magnaflows.

The car's main use is business (I'm a Realtor so conversation in the car is a must) and my daily so it can't be to obnoxious.

rear cat delete makes the magnaflows come to life.

I think those are the same as I have on my mustang. They look identical to magnaflows. Love the sound

I've been wanting to try these:

They can be capped for daily driving, but then when you want to let it all hang out - remove the plug = race time. :burnout:

These are on my mustang

Of course they aren't over $700 either. They are approx. $35 each.

Do you have a catted X-pipe or just an X-pipe with no cats?

It's a high flow catted x pipe.
