I think I have the fastest N/A marauder around, anyone care to disprove...
So I went do to Union Grove WI today and ran my best times to date and was really happpy with it and I did not brake anything, and I drove it back home. So my car went:
N/A pass with drag radials:
.156 R/T
1.82 60'
13.26 1/4 mile @ 101.71
With my shot of Nitrous:
.100 R/T
1.66 60'
12.27 1/4 mile @111.16
I was happy with that and people comented on it being a cool car and running well.
I sprayed the nitrou off the line from idle and let the converter work. And yeah I ran a couple back up passes for good measure, my car is really consistant, Woo hoo!

Cruztaker ran 13.2
http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=50047
PM Cruztaker for his exact time.
I think Joe Walsh ran 12.9 with a 4.6 bored to a 5.0.
I think Matryo and BillyGman both ran 13.5.
Great Time!

I think Cruztaker ran a 13.3 n/a with the 4.6.
Joewalsh does have you beat with a 12.9 n/a (5.0 stroker).
Nice setup you have there! Congrats.

It picked up a whole second with the juice just off the line, that is amazing. Nice job.

What compression are you running on the stroker and what other goodies?

Yeah the car ran good n/a and it did pick up a whole second on the spray.
I was hoping I was the fastest n/a but looks like one is a bit faster. It was still fun and its a great street car that I did not pull any weight out of either. I would like to have my heads done they are still stock. Some day...:D

I was able to get custom pistons for no extra charge when I did mine so nitrous like compression. My compression ratio is just shy of 12:1! yeah it sounds like its high but man it gets the torque going and sounds crisp in the exhaust note when in the loud pedal. I have the supporting injectors, mass air, and TB, but still stock heads that should be next.
Also my car and these number are on 93 octane PUMP GAS, thanks to Lidio, it runs sweet!

The reason why I asked is that I am building a big bore 5.1 and shooting for 10.5-11.0 CR.

Cool! Mine is right at 5.0L but if your not going to ever run a blower go for higher compression the car need the torque and it helps make it more responsive. I think with head work I can do better for my setup, but its lots of money.

I picked up roughly 1.5 seconds off a 125 shot.

Then I blew it up on the next pass, and put a chevy 5.3 in it. LOL

I really would think you would pick up some MPH on the big end with the spray............. hmmmmmmmmm

My nitrous pressure was a bit lower than I wanted, I want a better bottle heater, I think there is another 10th in it:D

After talking to a lot of Mach 1 owners who stroked or bored, it seemed the bored motors made slightly more torque when compared to stroker equipped cars.
head work on these heads can cost a pretty penny, they already flow very well so much not work is needed besides just changing up some components of the valvetrain and cleaning up any casting imperfections.
Any future mods planned?

That was going to be my comment, where is the MPH? Maybe it's a typo and should have been 111mph... 12.2 @ 101mph seems pretty crazy

Yeah eventually stage2 cams and tricked out heads and match intake. That will put my car into the next e.t. bracket then. Lidio gave the recommendation on the stage2 cams, and yes I know the cost is a lot for not a great gain but that's all that's left in engine work for mine. With my high compression I will stay n/a and nitrous.

When I use to spray my Camaro years and years ago, my MPH showed it.

Figured it was a typo, or the shot sent you into a time warp. That said, I love the 60'.

yeah it felt like a time warp! With a bit O' work maybe I can run with your 11.xx thats the next goal is to dip into the 11's

I just want to make it clear I wasnt trying to stir anything up. It just didnt compute.
A good rule of thumb is if you take a tenth of your 60ft you will gain two tenths at the big end of the track if you have a decently powered car. Of course at that point your mph will go up too if your making horsepower.
I would be interested to know the difference in your 1/8th mile mph to 1/4th mile mph on both non-gogojuice and gogojuice passes. :)

I have to sell a kidney or something to buy heads they are pricy. I will look around after the new year at costs.
I may have to run it at Da Grove once more before the weather turns to crap up here.:burnout:

When I was doing my cams I went with Comp Stage 3 Blower N/A Cams,The Comps were all the same price.
Jeff at Mo's shop said I just need a 3500 stall to match it & hope to be in the early 13's next summer.
Yes doing cams are Expensive.

I would love to hear a video clip with the new cams if you can do that...I don't know that I will do heads and cams this winter but we will see. I have a 3000 stall so it should be fine.

OK Here is the a Vid from My I phone & a Pic of the cam cards.I got the Comp Stage 3s from MMR.
With the mods the MM already has it is very loud & turns heads & later I just need drag tires,Deep trans pan & Mo will set me up with a 3500 stall converter & update the tune for the B&M shift kit. :burnout:
