Went to Lake El Mirage for a friend's SEMA show photo/video shoot yesterday with Ed Iskenderian & his '24 Ford. Figured since I was there, might as well stretch out my newly aquired '03 MM's legs a bit. What a blast! Made a few passes & got pretty darn dusty in the process. Got a detail lined up for tonight after work.

Thanks guys. Didn't get too crazy. Not too many people out there, but still not confident to go balls-out. Only got up to about 102 or so. Got on it easy as not to tear up the lake surface. It's not a dragstrip afterall. Used for top speed & time-trials. Seemed pretty stable to me. Brakes worked great(recently done w/OEM pads). I just happen to be there, but I'm hoping to get out again soon with a couple friends. Tons of fun!

here's a video of my 04 Crown Vic LX Sport at El Mirage back in January. unfortunately I forgot to charge the battery so this is the only video I have when about 10 Crown Vics went and we did top speed (~131 for police interceptors and ~110 for civilian Vics) runs.

and a couple pics taken by the girlfriend of the owner of the black crown victoria with the 4" cowl hood. there is not 10 Vics in the pics because some left before the group shot.

El Mirage is awesome. No Donuts or burnouts allowed though. This is for the safety of everyone since El Mirage hosts professional land speed runs as well as for everyone else wanting a legal way to drive fast in a straight light. the longest line from edge to edge of the dry lake bed is about seven miles.

Awesome!
My fox at world of speed at Bonneville. I'd like to take the Marauder out there for the next event. The requirement is 130-140 in a mile. I think she'll do it.
