Ok, it's time to replace the BFG's on the front...after only 10 months of service. Everyone talks about Nitto's...soooo, with a NA stock car that will not see the drag strip and only the ocasional speedway:D... What brand. I think Dan told me the 420's??? They look really nice...

Bill,
Considering yours is a DD, Nitto's may not be a good choice for you? Dan is running the 420S while I am running the 555 Extreme.

Nitto 555 are summer only. Don't like below 50 degrees. I am told. Not sure on 420. I think it is an suv tire. A few members really like the nitto motivo. I think krytin has them and mrs. Denmark. I like my cooper rs3a

I will never switch from my rear 420's!! These things are nice and sticky, they wear evenly, and seem to LAST!
I tried something new on the fronts. This time I went with the Nitto 850 and so far love it equally and the sidewall matches up to the 420's pretty good.

Not wanting to hijack this thread, but I'll be purchasing new rears soon. I've been running Cooper rs3-a (stock sizes) for a year and a half now, or approx 30k. The fronts still have enough tread to get through to next spring, but the rears are down to the wear bars. I thought this was not good (I posted up a more detailed review in another thread a month or so ago), but learned over the weekend at MVXI that getting 30k on the rears is what I should expect, maybe even more than I should expect.
I was thinking of switching to a different tire and a wider size as well, but don't want to drive around for 6 months with different tires on the front/rears...have heard this is not a good thing to do. So I'll be purchasing Coopers for the rears within the next week. If I had to buy a whole new set though, I would seriously consider the Firestone Firehawks.

Actually nothing much. Not one burnout....yes, you read that correctly...not one. Paul shakes his head :shake: when he looks down upon me from above. I'm not gonna do something that I don't feel completely confident about...hopefully I'll get de-virginized at SSHS this year...;)

Bill, keep in these are 60,000 mile tires. Just make sure you get a good alignment with carfixer's specs
