I've decided to piece together the parts and pieces for my Eaton swap instead of waiting around for a "kit".

Post up if you have parts for sale to do the swap, from the blower and manifold to the bolts and gaskets and everything in between. I already printed out and am studying Rex's write up, which is great, but any and all further help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You would have to add a bung for a temp sensor since our cars have two temp sensors. And you'd have to reroute you coolant hoses too.

Hey tbone,
When you get to the point of having stuff custom made (brackets, coolant pipe, etc), let me know. Maybe we could double the order to make it easier for the vendor/supplier to make more than one. May help save us a little dough too!;)

PS. Bumper looks awesome on the car, BTW!:D

I know it ends in a few hours, but it's a good price. This seller (not me) is also known for having lots of cobra parts which are good for the eaton swap. Maybe you could work something out with him and get some deals if you buy from him?

I've been keeping a pretty close inventory on my purchases over these last couple years buying parts. As soon as I'm done with the swap, I'll see if I can post it somehow. Good luck with the parts hunt, it's very educational and fun!

I paid $150 shipped. I saw them new for $275. I've seen them cheaper, but with lots more miles.

39lb is fine for my application. If I had a built motor I would go higher.

Tom,

The intake, throttle bracket and idler look like mine. I say yes, and am sure others will post up that have more knowledge than me.

The inter-cooler pump appears correct, but cannot comment with 100% confidence.

Good start, but so many more parts to gather.

Lower intake, inter cooler, heat exchanger to name a few carry a good punch to your wallet.

While my kit was labeled as "complete", many more items were needed during the install. This is not anywhere close to being derogatory to the seller of my kit. Just echoing what others have said in previous threads/posts.

Keep pushing forward Tom, and be warned...

The cost of incidentals climbed in a big hurry with my kit as well as many others that have done this.

The dyno tune will set you back about $500.00

Gauges alone are expensive! Do not skimp here.

I went overboard on mine, as they are the Autometer Elite Series, and just the gauges and pod alone were ~$700.00

Good luck!

;)

Mike.

I already installed a boost and trans temp gauge in a pod. :)

I've seen a lot of the parts for sale, and a lot are way over the estimates posted in other threads. I know that I will go way over, but hey, if you wanna play, you gotta pay. I figure by next spring I will have everything.......

Yes, that is the tube that is on mine.

Pulley combinations vary. And recommend you stay around 10 - 11lbs. of boost.

I am running a "stock" lower and a 3.1 upper netting 11lbs boost.

No pig tail for the MAF.

A bracket will have to be made for the reservoir coolant tank.

I think Zack no longer makes the modified COT. Doesn't mean you can't mod yours.

I recommend a COT delete kit. I've been told on3 performance makes a two sensor kit. Save yourself the headaches of modding a COT.

I definitely will. It's been all I can do to get this far. Joe (guspech) has been especially helpful. As well as the supercharger sticky and Trilogy's manual.

So far I have ordered:
Misc pulleys, gaskets, IAT2 sensor, EGR delete kit, bolts for the custom brackets by Gortch, o rings, alt. nut, battery tray......
COT delete with hoses and fittings kit
Kenne Bell Boost a Pump
Musclemerc catch can and cooling mod
Metco supercharger install kit
Frozenboost type 100 Heat exchanger
Cobra throttle bracket
Cobra stock intake tube
Cobra s/c tensioner
Cobra throttle body
Lightning 90mm MAF
MAF adapter plate
Cobra intercooler pump
Cobra 39lb injectors
Diablosport MAFia

Cost so far about $2700. Most parts are new. I don't trust used in many instances and I can't stand waiting around for responses.

I have a line on the big parts.....stay tuned.

+1 all you need is a vise, hammer, and drill press/bits. You will need to also make battery box support and fuse box support brackets. Seems like I use 1/8" X 1" Aluminum stock for most everything except the reservoir bracket. Bends super easy. It can be bought at Home Depot in various lengths. Plan on about 6' at least. For the reservoir you will need some heavier duty, I normally start with a scrap piece of 3/16" or 1/4" steel plate around 4" X 10" and shape it from that. Joe or Mike can get you a pic.

With stock internals and a 3.0 upper, what size lower pulley should I go with? I've seen the chart, but I'm not sure what the safe level of boost is that the motor is capable of. I thought it was 12. The 3.0 upper is the biggest they make, and their choice of lower pulley is 6.55, 7.50 and up. I bought the 7.50, but I'm thinking I should reduce to the 6.55. But one would put me on the low side of 12lb, and the other on the high side. I want to be safe, but I don't want to cut it short either and gyp myself of power.

Or even better looking billet.

I bought the 3.0 and a 7.5 from Metco. I just want to know if that is too much boost and if I should exchange the lower for a 6.55.

Leave it be. My old set up was a stock lower / 3.2 upper and only netted 10 1/2 summer/ 11 1/2 winter for three years of beatings. Should be plenty safe.
