Good Evening. Just changed out the EATC O-rings and still have codes. Have moved from 025 to 024. Will be taking dash off to replace AC Actuator next week. Since I am sitting at 115,000 miles am considering going after Heater Core too.

Worth doing or overkill. Thanks, Randy

Hi. Randy. while you were doing the heater core I seen a lot of articles for removal and installation of the heater core on Crown Vic that NAT haven't found anything I'm a writer dot net my question is would you have the Marauder do you need to remove the center console to remove the whole entire dash or is that just something to overlook?

I just replaced the blend door actuator in my grand marquis. I don't have a center console but I followed the instructions for pulling the dash from CVN. You absolutely do not need to drop the steering wheel to slide the dash back. Just disconnect the yoke. The actuator was fairly easy to change out. I was gonna do my heater core too, but I remembered something my father always told me. " If it's not broke then don't try to fix it"

I've done the blend door actuator by just removing have to dash in getting my arms in there somehow I got three out of the four balls which 3 out of 4 ain't bad I don't think but I got a heater core issue and I'm just wondering if the whole entire console needs to come out so I can take the whole entire dash out so I get to the heater core

Balls?

There are only two... 2 bolts that secure the blend door actuator.

The codes you got are for the blend door actuator. Changing the o-rings in the EATC will NOT fix a bad blend door actuator.

I am trying to replace the heater core on my marauder. My question is. Does the center console need to be removed for the whole dash to come out? The center console is the piece the had the shifter indicator on it. It also has a place to store items and change tray. Does that unit need to be removed before I can take the whole dash out to replace the heater core. The heater core needs replacing. I smell sweetness and the passenger floor is damp. But before I go balls to the wall on the dash. I would like to know if the center console needs to come out before I remove the dash. I tried the MM search function that that seems to be useless. This is the closest thread i could find. Has any MM owner replaced the heater core diy style?

Just the center gauge pod needs to be removed.

Never engage the new actuator servo until it is mounted back up, you can ruin the gear drive if it is not mounted back into the blend door housing. Make sure your battery is disconnected while doing it to avoid the above. When you are done, put the key on and let it sit a few minutes, the EATC will run all of the servos thru their range and then allow you to make changes.
