So my passenger HID fog light blew about a year ago so i just pulled the fog light fuse. Tonight i decided to buy new bulbs off of ebay so i decided to plug the fuse in and see if i could get the bulb to work before ordering. Well while i was under the passenger fog light trying to get it to work i heard a loud pop.. So i got up and the drivers side fog light was out now as well. So i thought that maybe a wire was touching somewhere and i blew the fuse. But after checking the fuse and it being fine i went to look a little closer at the driver side fog light and noticed that the glass actually shattered. I have no idea what might have cause this. But anyways, i was wondering if any of you have any suggestions on where to get a new fog light housing for a decent price? I really miss the look of my car with the HID fog lights and HID headlights lit up.

Oils from your hand on the bulb glass can do this. If you are 100% you never touched the bulb then either the bulb got way too hot for the housing (55 watt is too much), a connection is crossed somewhere or something is going on with the ballast.

I've not had issues with the 55w yet in my car. I also have run a bulb that's had silicone stuck to it for 2+ years in a different vehicle... Sucks it took out the housing.
I picked up a set of foglights from eBay new for $105. We share housings with the Mercury Montego. Had these on my NA car and had no issues with HID's in those housings.
