Hey, I just saw the previews for the Season Finale of "The Bridge" on FX and there was a Black Marauder in a couple brief scenes! I have a DVR so I reversed the picture and double checked (since I was fast forwarding thru all the damn commercials). It's definately a Marauder, not a decked out Crown Vic.

I don't normally watch that show, so I am not sure if this is any new information. Just an FYI for those who don't know.

Wow. That was a waste of an hour of my life! :shake: The Marauder on the show "The Bridge" in Mexico was nice to see on TV, but had no action role whatsoever. In fact, it didn't roll at all!!! In the three scenes with the car, it was either parked or still. Also, had a Crown Vic rear bumper.

Well look at the bright side: if there was no action then less likelihood of it getting "hurt" during one of the moving scenes.

You remember the episode of ALIAS with the Marauder right? There was a great chase scene but the Marauder got hit in the back from the pursuit vehicle. I know we all cringed when we saw that!

No, I didn't see that! Was that a movie or TV show? Maybe it was the same car, being that the rear bumper cover was from a Crown Vic...:dunno:

Alias was/is? (Not sure if it's still on tv, I never followed it) a tv show. Do a Google search for Alias Mercury Marauder episode.

Another tv show I remember there being a Mercury Marauder in was Hawaii five 0. It's in the background of a scene. They just showed up to a crime scene and if I recall correctly the Marauder had LEO lights flashing.

Pretty neat and Google search is your friend! Or some kind soul will hopefully post up a link

Cool, thanks! The car looked great! But, kinda scary, though. Looks like the Marauder was having trouble out running the Yukon...

Has anyone noticed a pattern? They never use any of the "sissy Mary" colors in these shows!! Only the manly Marauders...:banana2::banana2::banana 2:

Hmm, The Alias one doesn't have a MM rear bumper either....Didn't want to pay Ford the royalties...I saw the one in the Bridge. It's a 300A, saw rear speaker grilles and the center dash clock and dark interior. Don't know if they filmed in El Paso or on the production lot in LA. If in LA, it could be the same car as in Alias.

The Hawaii 50 car was probably a car that belonged to a police officer in Hawaii. The cops in Hawaii get a car alowance to use for pretty much anything, except luxury cars. The light bar on top clamps across from drip rail to drip rail. They take it off when not working. Guess the idea is it is easier to pay a car alowance than to supply so many patrol vehicles. The officers don't have to transport prisioners in their cars and use them for patrol and calls. I talked to an officer in Hawaii when I went there a few years ago. Saw a few MM's, but none with the police lights on.

The movie comapnies will sometimes "encourage" officers to park their patrol cars where they can be filmed in the background. Most agencies charge the production companies to use police vehicles or they have to rent them from prop companies. Some smart transportation coordinators will have the actual officers cars parked in a way to "accidentally" get in the shot to avoid the cost..
