Fl turnpike when not in rush hour is an easy 85 mph + road. Less than 85 you are a hazard.

That would be great! FYI, over here on the South West Coast of FL, we have quite a few attractions. Near Ft Myers/Naples, there is Immokalee Regional Raceway (1/8 mile track) and in Sarasota (south of Tampa), there is Bradenton Motorsports Park. There is a lot of neat events there. Not to mention, Busch Gardens etc in Tampa. Plus, anywhere up and down the West Coast, you will find the best beaches in the Country! :beer:

Hi Guys, I'm in Denmark right now but I promise all that pm'd me that I will call you next weekend.

Anyway to throw out an idea I am thinking the Ocala area.
There;s the Don Garlits museum, Gainesville raceway, Silver Springs, the Ocala National Forest for starters. There's also a pretty nice downtown including a very nice art museum.
Centrally located for Florida folks, but not impossible for out of staters.

How about some other suggestions?
If you do, please list a few of the interesting things in the area.

The Sunshine State Marauders did a Great MVIV back in '06--love it great--the you tube of MV 13 is the cats aXX=--anyway--you guys are wonderful and have a great vast wonderful state to draw from==I would love it--!!

You are moving to a beautiful part of Florida!
I have a lake cabin about 20 miles north of Altoona.

OK guys, this is pretty much the last chance to put something together.
I'm just not seeing a big response, especially compared to what the Chicago guys are doing.

It's going to take 6-8 core guys with a direction plus other volunteers to commit to take specific responsibility for a facet of the event, one guy does the hotel arrangements, racing, sightseeing, giveaways, etc. Anybody who has organized a MV in the past knows what I'm talking about.
(Of course, MVIV set the standard...:D)

Florida has a lot to offer, but we have to remember that it's a looong state.
Heck, even where I live in NE Florida it's 5 hours to Atlanta. So if we are going to attract out of staters (which is the point) it's got to be accessible as possible.

Cobra25 and I have discussed all this, we will give this until Sunday, then we will concede to the Windy City guys...not that that's a bad thing, I love that town!

I honestly doubt it's going to happen due to the fact that most members are in the North East area Chicago Philadelphia etc and Atlanta or Florida is a long drive for most members. Also would be nice to take turns northeast then southeast! Next mv is going to be Chicago
