I just saw the movie at the local IMAX theater in 3D. If you see this movie, make sure you have a strong heart and bladder.
PS: IT WAS GREAT!!!

She is in NASA version of astronaut underware for a brief scene...sorry...no nudity. The action is incredible. I was hyperventilating at one point. I drive my stangs and the cobra around the track at 150+ and don't get that!

Mike Hopkins is the American NASA astronaut that just went up to the ISS with the Russians. He's our neighbor, and his wife is one of the nurses at my wife's school (she's an AP at our junior high school). My wife said that Mrs. Hopkins said no way is she going to watch that movie as long as Mike is up in space!! It does look like an intense movie.

A little over the top like any movie. IMAX is a must. Other than that I wish they would have mixed it up a bit and shown ground control like Apollo13 and not be just a two actor movie.

There have been movies which in their depiction of reality, points out how dangerous historic events really were. It makes seeing them a must:
Backdraft - a firefighter is always one step or one heartbeat away from death.
Saving Private Ryan - I can now appreciate what my uncles went through at D-day
Apollo 13 - astronauts weren't deemed "heroes" until America saw the danger in their calling.
Gravity - again, what the astronauts do is certainly not risk free

We just got back from Gravity. Absolutely riveting! I'm calling it now: Emmanuel Lubezki will finally get his elusive Oscar for best cinematography. He should have won for Children of Men (2006) and Tree of Life (2011) but Gravity will be his to own on Oscar night.
These are the films that I look forward to seeing in theaters

Hi,
Went to the Matinee today. (3d Imax)
Whoa Yea!
This is a real must see in the Imax theater.
Do not wait to see it at home.
Do not see it without IMAX 3D.
It is well worth the extra $ in this particular case.
At one point I couldn't help myself & yelled out "Holy S**t!
I don't think anyone in the audience even noticed.
