I am making preparations to select a tuner (shop) for my car but I want to know what others are using for transmission/converter schedules.

I have 4:10's and a 3500 RPM stall converter, a Novi s/c with ten lb boost @6K.

I'm asking drivers with similarly equipped Marauders what RPM/speed are you shifting at part throttle (all gears) and same for WOT.

Thanks.

I liked what Lidio came up with by not locking the TC until a certain speed but to me 60+ MPH was too high and I experimented with several options. Currently I have the TC locked out completely in 3rd gear and it only engages at 43 MPH in 4th (light throttle)....PERFECT for me!!

As far as shift speeds under light throttle.......after I did the J-Mod my 1-2 shift was a KILLER so we turned it down under light throttle only!! The 1-2 shift and 2-3 shift are set at 2K RPM's under light throttle and I like it better than the quick shifts that FORD incorporates!!;)

I do have a tune that allows the TC to lock in 3rd above 40 MPH too but don't use it much since I like the one above better for my driving style!!:shake:

Good Luck in your endeavor!!

Marty has an excellent shift schedule in his tune.

Pat,

I'm not sure if this is a change from stock but I asked that the TC unlock when the throttle is returned to the idle position......I like that much better than staying locked too!!

I keep it locked for three seconds (so its already done if the pedal goes down again) and then it unlocks for coasting after. Works very well!
