Hi Everyone.....

That is the last thing that happens in my MM.
Can some one tell me how can happens that??????? I can believe it....:mad2:are there someone that happens more or less the same?????
The number of the belt is K 080550, And the number that put in the pulley is IP118.
I donīt know where I can find that tensioner.... or some like that.
Anyone recomend me something better. Any combinations????

Thank you so much

Best Regards

Did the bearing seize? If so, heat from the belt rubbing can do that. Or just a materials defect in the manufacturing process. The ford part number for that idler pulley is: XR3Z-8678-BA I can't find my list of interchange part numbers from other manufacturers.

Tensioners take a lot of abuse. Not uncommon to break. It should really be an item you replace before they break. Like a belt.

I try to write as best as I know.....sorry if you don t understand something that I wrote.... Now I have to learn mecanic and good American mods, Lol!

Despite of that ;)... Thank you very much all of you....I put on the work to find the pulley. That is the only that should fit me, isnīt it?
I heard the sound about.... 6 miles before....but I can believe that this pulley broken as it did.
The car came to Spain on August....And I think only have in my country about 400 miles...not more.... I think that the tensioner was loose and tightened the belt too until it broke, could be?

donīt you like my accent????? I m trying to improve it.:D

One more question.. Should I change the pulley of the supercharger????

Thank you so much
Best regards

I have measured the pulley and has 3,5" diameter and litte more than 1,5" of width.
The XR3Z-8678-BA has 3" diameter and 1 1/4 width.
Could fit the last One????

I think that the tensioner was loose and tightened the belt too until it broke, could be?Sorry for the dumb question, but is that a tensioner or an idler? If it's a tensioner, shouldn't it have some sort of automatic (spring) adjustment so it can't be over-tightened?
Can you tell us a little bit more about the car? What kind of blower? How did you come to acquire the car? I think you may have the only one in Spain...

Hi
The blower is a Eaton 112. I bought the car in south beach,Fl. And yes I m the only one in Spain with that kind of car.
Before that I had a 05CVPI....I sold it and went for a MM. And that s all....You have some pics in another post.
I m delighted to give you all the info you like.
I have the idle in my house. The part is Dayco nšpart 89048.
Tomorrow I try to put it on.
That part don t have any automatic adjustement...it s fix to the bracket. You have to ajust it.
Now I m looking for belt kit....all the idler and tensioner....But I canīt find one kit that fits me.....Only I find parts separately
Any suggestion?????

I'm confused. Is this a Trilogy car or an Eaton swap? If it's a Trilogy, that is the correct pulley for the supercharger tensioner, but the tensioner itself is spring-loaded and not manually adjustable.
As for the belt, if it's a Trilogy car, the Gates number is K080510, the Dayco number is 5080510.

It s a Eaton swap.
And the belt I have to use is K080550

I'm still confused...you asked for a belt part number, but you already know it...

No
I m asking for a belt kit. Idles, tensioner....etc....
The belt I told you is for the supercharger. The car has 2 belts. I need a belt kit as I told before with all the idler, tensioner....It is the normal for a marauder.
Is the part that you put???????

Ah...I understand now.
No, there is no "kit"...you have to purchase the parts separately. Hopefully whoever built it used this thread (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=60366) as a reference for sourcing parts.

Thank you so much....
I try to write as good as I know....but I have a limited american & mechanical knowledgement. Due to that...I try to ask all the doubts I have.
As you read I m from Spain. Be patient with me....;)
Thanks to all of you.

The corret part number of the belt tensioner, to put in the bracket, like the trilogy could be: Belt tensioner 2R3Z-6B209-AA.

Any options that I can consider that fits in the bracket?

Thank you so much
