New Marauders equipped with wheel locks.

I just saw some new Marauders on the lot. They all had wheel locks and they did not have the godhead valve stem caps.

Godhead Valve stem caps?!?! I didn't get those... And if they are coming with the locking wheel nuts, I'm *****ing at my dealer about that when I go to pick-up my car today, that is IF I see the new arrivals with 'em on...

My stem caps were stolen right off the lot before I even saw my car. Still waiting for the replacements. I am using the Milton hex caps on mine now.

Hrm. It didn't occur to me that someone at the dealer had stolen the valve stem caps from the one I was looking at.

Some bastich stole my valvestem caps a while back but I think it was
in a parking lot.

My car had some plain metal hex caps on it at delivery, which I promptly replaced with regular plastic caps as soon as I got home with the car. I knew they'd get stolen the first time I parked the car outside.

Are you saying it was supposed to have these "gods head" caps?

Anyone got a photo of those gods head caps, and where can i get mine. All i got at delivery was the normal metal hex caps.

Mine had Godsheads etched (or some process) onto them.

Someone stole mine back in Oct.

My car was built back in May.

I did not get locks or god heads on mine. Are they now added to the new one's and if so I think we who don't have them should get them too. If any one know's please let me know. Tomorrow I will ask my dealer about them.

I would like to know if there any headers in the works for the 03 MM long tube. I know that they sometimes can be a pain to put in but if they are of good quality they usuallywork well.

Mine came (on 9/12/02) with the little chunky metal hexagonal deelies that were stolen about a month later. NOW it has cheapo black plastic...

All the MM's I have seen have the Hex head, no Mercury Head.

What exactly do these preported caps look like and can someone post a pic, if they really exist.

Mine are chrome hex head since day one.And most of us bought our wheel locks.And some us got a free oil change and some did'nt.Actually I wouldnt have those cap on my car unless it was in a car show.Kids around here collect those chrome caps like they were marbles.

Caps were hexagonal. Heard you guys talking about others being stolen (never thought of that); son had his chrome Chevy (red logo) caps taken off his car the same night he put them on. Got new chrome caps, also hex, from Pep Boys for both cars for under $3/car; will put the originals in a safe place for the future. Replacements will be the cheapo chrome caps if I feel like it, or the black plastic.

As for tire pressure, I'm FINALLY getting an air compressor for Christmas. Been waiting for someone to get the hint for 5 years. With 5 cars in the family and air at 50 cents for 3 minutes, it adds up.

I'm trying to figure all this out about the godshead on the valve caps and the wheel locks and came to one conclution, all Marauders purchased before Christmas (12/25/02), would have to give Santa a wish list of all the items that should have came with the Marauder and the items that were stolen from the cars at the dealership and send it to the Mercury HeadQuarters Customer Service/Complaint Department at the North Pole. Enough letters would stir up some "S#*T", hopefully. Mine also has the hex chrome caps with a flat circle on top were I quess the logo goes, minus godshead. I bought my own wheel locks from Mcgard.

The way you say this, leads us to believe we got shorted. No one here, myself included, seems to have ever seen a godshead valve stem cap. Have you? Tell us more?

The caps I mentioned from e-bay have the Mercury wave logo, which isn't all that wrong to have, considering other vehicle badging. May be a nice accessory over the standard chrome hexhead.

I think we're discussing something thats a nothing, anyone agree?

Mine was a very early build and my caps had the godshead on the top of the cap. I know this because I've hand cleaned my wheels every week since June.

My caps got stolen back in October and I replaced them with some $2.50 chrome ones.

Now, all the MMs I see have the same $2.50 that I put on.

This makes me extra sad that mine were stolen. I'm beginning to think they were a part that got replaced after the first run. :(

It still irritates me that I didn't get wheel locks on mine though. My POS GM Van had them for far less stealable wheels.

I was there when my car arrived directly from the railcar in mid June. NO such thing or time for any switch of valvestems. I do think our "chain" is being thoroughly pulled...show me a pic! (and I'll add it to the "list")

I checked with my dealer about the wheel locks and the god heads they are checking on the gad heads but the wheel locks are options and are ordered when the car is order.

Believe it or not, I didn't photographically do***ent my valve stem caps. :) I have no interest in pulling anyones chain and don't really care if you believe in valvestem caps. LOL. To me they are a minor if annoying thing since mine were stolen. My car was built in May and I also got mine 24 hours after it arrived in town in June. I must say though that it's hard to be mistaken about a thing that I've looked at and marveled over them caring enough to bother etching a valvestem cap. The caps were also very rounded and not the sharp hexagonal style of the cheap chrome ones. The ones that I've seen on the half dozen or so lot Marauders I've looked at in the last week all have the same $2 chrome caps that I bought at the auto parts store. Perhaps to quell any conspiracy theorists, I'll switch my chromies for black plastic in the Spring when my shiny wheels go back on.

Anyways, I think I've said about as much as can be said about my missing valvestem caps and I'll end it here.

In March when I ordered mine wheel locks were not an option, only the cd-changer and trunk organizer were.
