Went to 235/55/18 tires in front, and since have to turn the stability control, or whatever Ford calls it, off when driving, especially on the freeway. Ever since the car won't accelerate with it on, and the squiggly line icon flashes all of the time. If I turn it off the car is fine, any suggestions? Still awaiting the new front lower control arms.
Thanks.

That would be your traction control turning on since you went to a taller tire. You can either drive with the traction control turned off or switch back to the proper size.

There has to be at least a 3% diameter difference between the front & rear tire or the traction control will activate.

Yes, what larryo and FBM said...You'll need to keep it off whenever you drive it (everytime you start it as default is "on") or switch the front tires to a 235-50 or get taller in the rear like a 255-55. What size tires are on the rear now? You have to maintain an approx. 3% difference in diameter (rear tires must be taller)

I assumed it was because I had switched to the taller front tires, and I still run the 245/55/18s on the rear. I was hoping the issue could be reset with a programmer, I have the SCT one with a Dennis Reinhart tune. Many more parameters can be changed on my Magnum with the Diablosport programmer I have for that. the traction control on the Magnum doesn't slow the vehicle speed when it engages. That being said I drive the Magnum with thr traction control off except when its wet.
Thanks.

That's only 1.54% size difference. So you'll need to turn it off whenever you drive until you change out the rear tires when ready. It can not be changed with the sct
