I cant seem to find anyone with my exact same problem, Cruise doesn't work and the air bag light flashes sometimes but the radio works as well as the horn, Clockspring? Ideas?

What code is the air bag light flashing?
I had a 19. The code would come and go and the horn would beep some time when getting into the car.
I changed the clock spring last week and it's been fine ever since.

My cruise is out, no problems with the horn or airbag etc.. I suspect the unit is bad but I gotta get at it with a test probe some day when I have time. Does anyone have the schematic for the cruise circuit or can you point me to a PDF somewhere?

Used cruise control servos pop up on ebay for cheap. I needed one. Super easy to replace too. Even Obama could do it.

My mechanic seems to think It's the clockspring for sure, are they a pain in the ass to change?

You need a two jaw gear puller to get the steering wheel off - up to 3" capacity & the jaws can't be much wider than 1/4". Also need a T-50 Torx bit for the wheel retaining bolt.

Getting to the two harness connectors under the dash is a big pita if you're 6'2"/300 lbs!

You need to remove at least the lower half of the steering column shroud and the ignition key core to switch the clip in the key lock that completes the circuit that senses the key in the lock - the new harness for the clock spring has this in it as well.

I took a cold chisel and lightly struck an index mark in the wheel hub and the end of the steering shaft so they lined up again when reassembled.

After I had the right puller it was only a little over an hour and I was taking my time.
