Boy oh boy, the weather in Indiana was beautiful today. Mercman (black) and I (silver) got together to do a bit of car cleaning and below are the results.

Sexy

Now here is the weirdest pic of them all...

While cleaning we noticed Mercmans car seemed to have more of a rake than mine. We measured and the front end of his ride was 28.5 inches from the ground to the top of the wheel well, my ride measured 29 inches. The rear of his ride measured 29.25 inches from the ground to the top of the wheel well. My height 29 inches. My car is dead level, his car has a 3/4 inch rake.

Parameters...
Both cars have bone stock suspensions, each car had hardly anything in the trunk (Mercman actually has a full spare, me got the mini), similar tire pressures and about equal tanks of gas. Weird...

Anyone know what the ride height specs are for a stock MM?

Cars look great.

Maybe your car has the wrong front springs?

Maybe Mercmans Marauder is a 300A and yours is a 300B, I say that because his is Black and yours Silver.
Anyone ?

A big DOH on my behalf. Mercman has an '03 300A and I have an '04 300A. I was unaware of any suspension changes between the model years.

your car should should still have the rake. It's a Marauder trademark

I think it's just a matter of either production tolerances, or a matter of the older car having naturally sagged. My WS6's front springs have settled over the first year as well.

That's a possibility Steve, but the Marauder is supposed to be built with the rake, not "sag" into it later

That is what i was thinking too, but what explains the rear of merman's, the 03 being HIGHER than silver's 04?
You got a dud Chris :D

Well, the rear is adjustable, not fixed via a certain spring length. So factor in some factory misadjustments (say, the guy who normally installs the harness was on job rotation in the suspension department that week) on the rear height, coupled with a possible future sag... well, it could happen.

I assume the tire sizes were verified? We had a member with incorrectly sized tires on here, right?

Yep, same tires!! I only have 6k miles on mine, so spring sag should not be the answer here, I have always had the "rake" Silver's car is as level as the salt flats

Went by the dealer today and they now have a brand new silver w/charcoal. That's the first one that I have seen and to those of you with that color combination-I love it. Hate to say it but I like it more than the flint I have.

Anyways, the front of this MM measured 28 7/8's inches and the rear measured 29 1/4 inches.

I think it's just variations on who installed the limit switch for the rear air suspension. My car also has a rake to it. I don't like it and will adjust the limit switch accordingly to get the car to sit even.

It's the added weight of the bra on the black one!

Man, you guys are too funny. Actually I think it was the rubberband I found on the shock tower. Put it back in and now the car sits 1/2" lower up front. :D
