I just performed the 50th oil change on my 2004 Marauder......ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!:banana2: :bows: :D

It was a little early....I have 242 miles before it reaches the 5,000 mile mark but I may have to drive it to the NC mountains next week so I figgered I'd better "git 'er done"!!:beer:

Congrats Jack! I got close to that many changes and it went Boom!
My heads were spotless on 130K miles of use , I knew 15# was gonna' get me eventually!:eek:

15# on a new stock motor is askin' for it!!:eek:

Mine only sees about 9# in warm weather and up to 11# in cold air!!;)

Strange thing is this engine has never used any oil between changes...stays right on the Full mark!!:confused:

Wonder what the chain tensioners look like now......if they are even there??:eek:

Plan to run it 'til it pops and build it back and go again.........best car I've ever owned...period!!:bows:

BTW, it will be 10 years old on 11-25-13........WOW!!:eek:

OK. If my math is correct, and you change your oil every 5,000 miles and you just changed your oil for the 50th time???

e=mc2 === then you must be over 250,000 miles. :bows::bows::bows:

Is that correct?

If so, what brand of oil and oil filters have you been using??? :beer:

Actually I am about 200 miles shy of 250,000.........;)

Have used Mobil I and MotorCraft filters all along....started with 5W20 and lately use 5W30 since it is fairly warm here!!:beer:

I only have 38,000 miles on my MM which I purchased new in 2003. :D

I always use Mobil 1, Amzoil synthetic or Penzoil Ultra synthetic.

I always change oil and filter every 3K To 4K.

I guess I can expect a lot more life out of my MM. :banana:
