Took her to get an alignment and to use the carfixers specs. They told me they would have to move this and move that, it would be another hours labor and didn't know if they could even get it to specs...so I just said align it normal and I would try something else. Anybody els been given that speal??? Sounded like a bunch a hewy to me...

If not already removed, you must grind off the tabs attached to the lower control arm eccentric bolts to allow for camber adjustment.

Don't have to grind the tabs... just hit them with a BFH.

I see. The best and cleanest way I've found is to back out the bolt a bit so it can be rotated for access to spots that need to be ground off, then hit it wit a BFH or air hammer. That way the subframe doesn't get beat to hell. I've seen some butchered up pretty bad.

Belle tire said we can't do those specs without buying different blah blah blah.
Lido sent me to crane alignment. I read him specs from mm.net. I heard an air chisel for about 4 seconds then clank, another 4 seconds and clank. He says "those we're in the way" lol and gotrdone!!!!
Good news is you will get new tires in another 2 years:beer:
Bad news is they won't be free

I'll have it done before that for sure, since the BFG's that were put on the car new last year when I bought the car, didn't last a year...:shake:

Oh snap!! Shoulda just swapped tires to opposing rims and you would have gotten almost two years:banana2:

I had these put in mine before I got new tires, but ran the old BFG for a little bit before changing.

Can't do that. The BFGs are asymmetrical And flipping will cause reduced wet traction & higher odds of hydroplaning.
If you do it (I have), be cautious wet road driving.

Zero the toe, get camber as positive (and even) as possible. I have had my Firestones on the front of the blue car for 10K miles now without even a hint of inner edge wear. HTH

I popped the flags off mine and took in for align 3 days before MVXI with new Nittos.
They had no problem doing Carfixers specs - dialed in EXACTLY. drives great.
