My best friend has requested my help with a mission of mercy this weekend, running down to Charleston, SC, to play Santy Claws for an old friend of his. I'm leaving soon after work, and expect to arive sometime in the early AM.

I'll be "testing" a few things, drive line vibrations at Interstate Speeds, gas economy at speeds, and general long drive ability.

Too anyone in the area, where do the cops like to hide?:D

Emporia, VA has been preying on unsuspecting motorists for years-----I think it's probably their #1 income producer.
Lumberton, NC is another bad place-----alot of construction zones--double speeding fines.

Well, we got in about 7ish last night. No speeding awards, and only bounced off the govener once. :)

I set the cruise control, and just went. I got about 23 24 mpg at 70 - 80. Ran speed limit +10. The only problem I had was when I ran in the right lane, people would come up, see me drop back and hang in my blind spot as I was closing on slower trafic. :/ So I'd have to break, or punch it to get through. Played tag with a 01 Mustang GT, and scared the hell out of an mid 90 T-Bird and Cavalier who thought they were fast.

Other observations.
No driveline vibrations with sustained 90 mph run. Seems I may have a decent drive shaft. I DO want the chip, but need to wait.

All in all a good trip, and am VERY pleased with the road manors.
