Can someone look at a set of wires please?

Someone please look at the passenger side COT sensor and tell me what color wire is where. I believe there is a red and black. Whats on top, whats on bottom?

Its a long story as to why I cannot look at mine... its been changed.

So where the clip plugs into the sensor on the passenger side.

Green and Gray on mine... Up or down is relative to where the clip is...

Mine is in the proper position so to say.

Doesnt matter. Its just resistance across the sensor.

I had to install a new clip and I sodered the wires together instead of seperate. I have them seperate now but the sensor is not working. A friend of mine thinks I fried the sensor. I want to make sure its wired up properly before I replace the sensor again.

Chris, so this means as long as they are wired seperately, it will function.

Correct?

I cris crossed them before and nothing.

Dom, as Chris said, with resistance it doesn't matter which wire goes where, although if you shorted the wires together for any length of time, the PCM may have learned that (incorrect) setting and you should probably disconnect the battery for 10 minutes or so after getting it all sorted.
