This am @8:oo I am going down the interstate sipping a large coffee. A red 1993 RX7 zips by.

We both exit and I pull up next to him at the lite on a 4 lane that has a 150 yard neutral ground between the opposing traffic lanes and was repaved 2 years ago.

Lite turns green he floors it and I walk it out then I floor it after him. I start off 3/4 a car length behind him and thats where I stay locked in the same spot w/ the RX7.
The lite ahead turns red and we both slow. at the stop lite he won't look over at me. He has an after market exhaust and spoiler.

We drive for 2 more miles and end up in the same place. I am getting stuff out of my trunk. He walks over and studies the Marauder up and down. He says, "... I was surprised I didn't think those cars were that fast...." I said on the street I can't hit it from a dead stop or I just spin. :D

I introduce my self. He has had it for 3 months and is in the RX7 club.

The Marauder now has the respect of one 1993 Red RX7!

Good show........

I could just imagine how shocked he would've been to see Logan's car, MAC's car, or one of the other S/Ced MM's blow right by him. But you obviously made him sit up and take notice, after he previously thought that he would leave you in the dust.

Good show,
...the 3rd gen was my fastest of all. But I'll tell you, I sure don't miss the two seater bumpy azzed ride and 115k lifespan of the rotory. Was however alot of fun in the single days.

I was surprised I thought he would be quicker too. Our 2 cars were fairly evenly matched.

I could have got into it harder and probably beat him, he indicated he was going all out and the car sounded like it was.

I drove a friends new one, but it was an automatic, when they came out and I still remember how fast it was and how impressed I was with it.

The car had great handling and braking, it drove like a race car.

The best handling car I ever drove was an NSX owned by a friend. I went to a holiday party. He knows I am a car nut. When he walked in the door I asked him if he brought the NSX he said yes and threw me the keys. I said are you sure he said yea have a blast.

Well I started my watch 10 minute count down timer becuase I knew if I didn't bring it back soon I would not want to bring it back at all.

He auto crosses the car and had done a few things to it. It was not only the best handling car I ever drove but the easiest to drive, it made an ordinary driver like myself an excellent driver. A very driver friendly exotic!

ps brought it back in 13 minutes.

I'd probably bring it back in 10 or 20 minutes, but not with a full tank of gas.

I averaged 10 mpg on the interstate today, and put 150 lovely new miles on the car.

Best car I've driven was an Infiniti G35.
