Who has installed a drive shaft loop on their Marauder? What brand and model did you choose? I want to pick one up, I thought some have done theirs already...thanks in advance.

I have not installed one yet but I think having a loop is a very good safety mod!

I thought so too. I have a few things planned this summer, including running the car at Michigan International Speedway, so I thought it might be a cheap piece of insurance. I thought some folks might be able to get me a part number to make it easy.

I have one Dave, it's a universal fit from Lakewood place about a foot from the trans tailshaft.
Mac has one also, he might know the brand.

As you see, you can get it from Summit Racing.

I am over due for putting one in my car. It's cheap insurance.<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

Don't you think that the H-pipe (or X-pipe if that's what you have) would catch the driveshaft anyway in the event of a U-joint failure? if you take a close look, the driveshaft really doesn't have anywhere to go but perhaps way off to the side which wouldn't result in catapulting the car nor puncturing through the floor.

It's from Lakewood, NHRA and IRHA certified, I am sure the NMRA wouldn't disagree.

One thing I know for sure is that Summit racing is one of my favorite places to shop for hi-perf car parts. I've done a lot of biz w/them over the last 6 years.
