Just wanted to give all the carolina marauders a heads up, i will be moving to kannapolis, NC (20-30 mins outside of charlotte) next week. Im on terminal leave from the military and have taken a job in Mooresville. Sorry mike no georgia for me, but im still on 4 1/2 hours from MO's!!:D:D

But just seeing if you guys meet up or do anything here, loved MVXI and wanted to stay within the MM community.

The Mustang 50th celebration is in Charlotte this coming April (16th-20th). Bring the Marauder and remind Ford how they screwed up by not continuing the brand.

I'll be there, but with several of my Stangs (the brand they did continue).

best of luck in your new life.

You'll be just up the road from where I grew up....Concord. Kannapolis (aka A.L. Brown) HS was our biggest football rival (I went to Central Cabarrus)...mainly because we usually got whooped every year. IIRC, we lost to them 58-0 my freshman year and by the time I was a senior we narrowed the gap considerably, losing 41-13...lol.

Lemme know when you get settled in...maybe we can meet up when I'm in the Charlotte area.

Oh yeah, mark it on your calendar to attend the BOC in May...

Welcome to NC!

Been in N.C. since '88. Lived previously in northern N.J. and south Florida. N.C. has been by far the best. Low taxes, good schools, fairly good roads, easy to get to either the mountains or the beaches.

Jim, I think your opinion may be biased a little...everyone in NC knows that what little is spent on road improvements is spent in Raleigh first. :P

The 485 loop around Charlotte is still yet to be completed, and it's been 25 years since construction started...:shake:

Won't even get into the state of the roads around here....:censor:

Ok...off my rant about NC roads....

Good to know it's nothing new...it sucked driving it in the rain friday, I kept having visions of what the news footage for the pileup would look like.

I don't know how you put up with the roads in Asheville, I thought I lost an entire wheel earlier today. The roads down east aren't nearly as bad. BUT the mountain roads are a lot more fun than the flatlands:burnout:

If you move near Raleigh we would be close enough to go egg Casey's house.

Did you go to the car show at the VA hospital? I saw it when I drove by there this afternoon with the kids on our way to lunch/bowling and had a "oh yeah" moment, remembering you mentioning it. If you're still in town, lemme know....the kids and I usually go to Waffle House for breakfast on Sunday mornings around 1030. The Waffle House we go to is 5 mins from the VA hospital...

I wish I had seen this last night, crappy hotel wifi :mad2:

But yes, I did. It was a good time, well over 200 cars, and for a good cause too. Not having seen this, I was in town until around 0900 this morning. Is it the Waffle House near the I40 exit and BRP entrance?? I was staying at the Quality Inn right there near it. I kept an eye out for Marauders, and I thought I saw an SB, turned out to be a white LX in good light lol.

Yes, that was the WH we went to this morning...we got there around 945; it would've been too cool if you were rolling out of the hotel parking lot as we were driving by...looks like we missed each other by less than an hour...
