Weight reduction = buy a stripped out Mustang.

;)

I'm pretty sure no one makes a K member for our car.

Sent from The White House on taxpayers dimes.

DTR + 4.10's + Eaton swap = Wreeeeeeeeeeeeeeedom

Our aluminum one is somewhat light and very strong anyway.

You'd need to have a race car chassis fabrication shop make you up one. Expect to pay an arm and leg for it if you wanted to do that

Ive got a buddy with a mustang and he asked me if that if they make k members because he knows my mm is heavy so i was just wondering. Im wondering were to go with my build now cuz everyone says 4.10's and a tune are the basics what would be next for you guys?

Not knocking GM's LS motors.
They are, without a doubt, the cheapest, easiest way to go for great HP.

Much like the venerable 5.0L Ford pushrod engine.....you can't beat it for cheap, easy, go fast HP.

But.....with Mercury's and Ford's....you can do it cheaper and easier....
Or...you can do it right.
I could have put a built LS engine in my 427 Cobra a whole LOT cheaper than an all aluminum FE big block.....but what's the fun of that?? .....:D

My problem with the LS is that they are a dime a dozen...I like something different, rarer than the other guy's engine.
If your only concern is HP per $ spent...then have at the LS options!

If I ever pull my mod motor, the only thing that is going under the hood is a BIG cube Ford* engine. It'll cost more, and may even be harder to do....but it will be done right.

*There would be lots of room for headers and even twin turbos with this Z460 SBF.

or a BOSS BBF from Mr Kaase:

Back on topic:
A tubular K member would open up a lot of room under and around our modular engines...that HUGE chunk of aluminum front crossmember blocks access to everything.
But I wouldn't put a tubular K member on a heavy car like the marauder unless someone did some serious engineering for the fabricated/welded piece!

Great idea, would love to have a tubular cross member for the marauder. id designed correctly it allow a 5.4 drop and correct the limited castor adjustment on the current front end.
