Was just returning from vacation from Lake Tahoe, coming back by way of San Francisco airport. The local Sunday paper had an ad by Bob Lewis Lincoln Mercury (boblewis.com) for a 2004 Marauder. Pricing looked great, has anybody seen better on an 04?
6 Disc CD
Heated Seats
MSRP $35,490
Disc 7,022
Rebate 2,500
Net Price $25,968 (take $500 more off for AARP)

I assume this was a Teaser Ad, as there was only one available, but Mercury must be giving them some "under the table" money in dealer incentives or they are giving up their holdback on this one to get people into the dealership to look!

Not a bad price. I paid 31 for mine including a power moonroof. I think that was a 1250 option. Anyways, not bad. Maybe LM is looking to unload them.

holy cow that's an awesome price, I figured those prices would show up after summer, most I was offered was 3000 dealer discount so that's 4k cheaper right off the bat. I rationaized by telling myself 2k more in dealer discounts is worth 4 months of payments starting with fun now through the summer.

I bought an 04 silver MM last Friday. I got the dealer down to 28,000 cash price out the door after taxes, fees, etc, but then I forewent the $2500 rebate so I could finance for 60 months at 0% interest. It was better and easier for me to finance 30500 at 0% interest thru Ford than finance $28500 at 3.9% thru USAA.

They should have the 60 months at 0% interest or $2500 rebate since its a national Merc promotion until 3/31

And don't forget the $500 AARP discount/incentive. That's the best $12.50 return on membership that I have seen. Of course, I keep the card well hidden in my wallet.

There's also a $500 owner loyalty for Mercury owners. Life is good!

May not have those discounts in Dallas, but check out Harter L/M in Shreveport, LA.---that's where I bought my '04 DTR. Was talking to the title clerk and they have one of each in stock. Gave me a good trade allowance on my '03 MM. They know how to sell them...Great people to deal with. By pass the salespeople and ask for the Sales manager. Ask him to make you an offer and then he'll assign you a salesperson to do the paperwork.

P.S. was talking to the title clerk because the State of Tennessee sent ME the title to my '04 with NO LIENHOLDER--big mistake. Took Ford Credit four months to notice. Wasn't sure where to send the title so I just kept it until I received something in writing.

I spoke to this San Jose, CA dealer today and he said that was an ad price good for one vehicle last weekend only and was intended to 'get people into the dealership'

Just did the deal for my new MM!

I am buying my new MM from Bob Lewis in San Jose.

A previous thread by JRC50 contained a post about a great price on a Marauder and I followed up on it.

Here's what's coming...

2004 Black/Nudo MM with Factory Power Moonroof, 6-Disc CD, trunk organizer, heated seats, car cover, spoiler, remote start, alarm, and the 4-year extended premium warranty plan.

Bottom line, out the door with Tax, License and ALL options and additions: $33,831.94 YES!
I will pickup the car next Tuesday. :bounce:

I had previously ordered and was going to buy from a dealer back East but I canceled due to the fact that the CUAW was still holding that car hostage.
After being flamed by several Unionistas on this site, I wanted it on record that a sale was lost due to this labor action.

I am looking forward to driving the MM soon!

Thanks to all of you on this board who have answered my questions and provided a source of information second to none on the MM and related topics. Special thanks to JRC50 for his post!

As for the Union thing. I don't begrudge anyone working in their own best interest. In this particular case however, the Canadian UAW have caused me
a delay in receiving my MM and cost a good FLM dealership a sale.

JRC50, if you come through the Sacramento area, I would like to treat you to beer and dinner for posting the information which placed me in negotiations with that (Bob Lewis) dealer!

Now for Lidio's Chip, Zac's Rear Control Arms, and Steeda Underdrive pulleys. Oh Yea!

Best Regards,

David

As I live in Mobile, I don't get to San Fran all that often but I appreciate the offer! Glad it worked out for you, sounds like a great ride.
